Niemann should be outstanding on special teams and hopefully continue to develop as a LB.

Good.

He still needs to put on some weight but he looks like the 3rd best LB already. Granted he's played against future insurance salesman.

Good for Ben. He's making the most of his opportunity.

Why is Dee Ford still the starter over Tanoh? I don't get it. I think Tanoh is playing better in every phase of the game.

I'm not sure how much of a promotion that is. It appears he and Davison just flipped places. Had he jumped over Eligwe, that would say something.

Dee is soft.

Tano isn't.

The end...

He's a guy that needs to make this team. I'm starting to feel the same way about Dieter. We need some "hard-work" guys.

I mentioned this in the camp thread but when I went to camp on August 1st Niemann was running with the 1st team defense nearly the entire practice with Hitchens and Ragland out.

Can't have enough Hard-working guys.
We are a soft team and need guys that push the intensity, even if they aren't the most talented guy on the roster. Blood and guts type guys should fill up our special teams.

They had a bunch of wills at ILB and needed someone to step up and back up Ragland at the mike. Smith is maxed out and naturally undersized for the 3-4 as is O’Daniel. Eligwe has a bigger frame than those two and that’s why they gave him first shot to call the D and play mike. But it’s becoming obvious he’s not to be counted on unprotected or uncovered head up on a guard. Pleasantly surprised with Niemann because he wasn’t used like that at Iowa but he has stepped up to the challenge and definitely not afraid to take on blocks.

Might be hard to admit but the white on this team is holding it down.

Always the man.

I agree- I really like this kid. Grew up around football with a coach / Dad and really gets the game.

If he's the S that made the hit on the goal line STFU and reduce his presence online.

Hopefully he'll make the PS.

He'll be a great wingman for Kelce at the P&L.

Hopefully Eligwe and Niemann can alternate quarters vs Chicago.

Would love to see Niemann get some time against the 1s.

Will special teams last beyond this year?

They're voting to do away with the kickoff completely after this season.

Yeah, maybe he gets better, but man he's looked kind of rough.

Without looking at the past depth charts, there seems to be some shuffling at the WR position too, no?

Wouldn't that be something. We have whiffed at drafting ILB for years, and now we may have hit on an udfa.
