( *** This is only a plea and good luck thread. *** )

If so, please get out if close to the coastline. If anybody is riding out the storm, please tell us so we can pray for ya and try to check in with ya when you get power again.

Good Luck!

Not this time, unless it heads due west. Gotten hit the last two years, though.

IMHO, some here will bitch about what team they are a fan of, I don't care what sports team they are a fan of, hoping all is safe and no deaths is the main thing!

The number of people staying and not evacuating is mind boggling.

Sounds like it’ll die down before it hits here. So far, I’m staying. Dealt with one last year and it wasn’t that bad. It’s hitting NC and dying down

I was going to evacuate but stayed. The place I was evacuating to was due to be hit by the Tropical Storm as well. I'm far enough inland not to get hit by Storm Surge and the winds are looking like they wont be strong enough to destroy my house. I'm 13 ft above sea level. Hopefully I'll be fine.

There are a ton of elderly who couldn't evacuate. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

You also have to deal with no power for 2-3 days at best. For most its a week or more.

Be safe.

I know that Redneck Raider is in the area, unless he's moved. He doesn't post anymore, so no idea.

It’s weakening.

I’ve seen stronger winds from Billay’s mom’s mouth.

I hope everyone in the path takes precautions to stay safe.

Good luck, everyone.

I'm in Davidson NC. Expecting a lot of rain, but not much wind-wise.

ROFL Weather channel actors at it again, there is another vidio out there from another hurricane. The reporter was in a rubber raft full of survivors interviewing as a pedestrian walks behind them in water ankle deep.

I ended up evacuating to Birmingham, AL. Stayed there for 3 days. Decided to drive as far as I could get back today without running into crazy weather. I got to about 1 hour outside of Augusta, GA before the rain started so I stopped here in Augusta.

All roads to Myrtle Beach are currently closed at one point or another. Hoping to drive home tomorrow.

There was no power outage, wind damage, or floods at my house. I guess I'm a sucker for leaving.
