Shows some attitude. We need that on defense. Not that I think Nelson is some great talent but we could use some big hits.

It was a good hit. Just wish it "shook him up" rather than ended his season

The corners have honestly been pretty good the past two weeks.

We’re getting killed up the middle and on corner routes with tight ends and backs.

Insert Berry and just maybe Thomas.

To be fair, the injury came before the hit.

I don’t think it was the hit that shredded his knee it was right before the hit it looked like he did it to himself trying to stay in bounds before Nelson beasted him.

Dumb play by Garoppolo. He’s not Cam Newton. He needs to just live to fight another day. Just get out of bounds. I like the competitive spirit, but that extra yard isn’t worth it.

It definitely did. His knee went out but I like the mind set.

It feels good to not have to become emotionally invested in this injury, seeing as how he WON’T be our next future ex-49ers QB.

The way Nelson was standing there I got a little nervous they were going to throw a taunting penalty. Too bad for Garoppolo sorry he got hurt.

They used to call that the " 'Ol Van Crash & Rollover" hit. One guy is the van and the other guy is the concrete barricade.

The sideline represents the grassy shoulder that some dumbass DOT dude forgot to mow.

not knowing he injured his knee, the way he was hit, my first thought was drew bledsoe and internal bleeding.

He didn't even hit him he just kind of set a pick. janeane's knee exploded and he just crumbled into Nelson. Terrible form as well, nelson went helmet to helmet and didn't get his head around.

Garoppolo instigated that hit...Nelson just kind of stood there. It's his own fault...still dont wish that on any QB other than Horseface.

without a doubt. the good thing is no one is claiming otherwise. where as there are plenty of teams whom go a step too far. :thumb:

i can't start threads with this account, but I've come to the conclusion Aaron Rodgers is fucked up on painkillers playing football every week. Thoughts?

Probably - but what are you gonna do? What I mean is, the QBs are being so damned "protected" by the front office that when one DOES get hurt, they STILL want him out there if he can stand.

Andy keeps running Mahomes up the middle into big ass LB and DT's. He's done that at least twice a game. Our season is over if Mahomes goes down. Why take that needless risk?

What he did was completely stupid, is that 1 yard worth being out for the year and ruining your teams season?

Also he tried to launch into Nelson with his throwing shoulder, what if he dislocates that? Then his entire career could be in jeopardy, it was just an idiotic thing to do.

I mentioned this after the 1st game when he ran a keeper from the option play. C'mon Reid, it's all fun and games until he's knocked out of the game, or forbid, the season. :shake:

What attitude? Nelson just followed him to the sideline and pulled up. Garofalo initiated the contact. Nelson was just standing there trying not to get a penalty.

This. I'm not even sure that JG was trying to get an extra yard or two, he may have just fallen forward when his knee gave out. In either case, when the QB is a runner, he's a runner. Lay a lick on him. PM2, take note, please.

Standing over a QB that runs into you like you're a badass doesn't really do shit for me when you're torched routinely.

We're lucky he didn't get a stupid penalty and give them a new set of downs.

Insert Berry and just maybe Thomas.

Replacing Eric Murray with either a finally healthy Eric Berry (if that happens) or Earl Thomas will do incredible wonders for the defense.

Disagree. You see him plant his foot, then he gets hit at just the wrong time. Clean play by Nelson who had actually tried to pull up to avoid a hit out of bounds.

Standing over him afterwards was stupid as that is routinely called for taunting.

The injury definitely came when he planted, before the hit. Nelson's form was terrible, Garoppolo was already crumpling as he got hit.

Na, watch it again. It's absolutely clear that his knee buckled before making contact with Nelson.

To be fair, Nelson is far less a problem than Murray. All the slap dicks we have at Safety.
