I look at the analytics each week. In the SRS metric (simple rating system), Bellichik's Brats are dead effing last.

1. Ravens 17.3
2. Rams 16.6
12. Chiefs 9.8
28. Texans -16.1
29. Vikes -16.5
30. Cheatriots -18.3

They were 5th last year and 1st the year prior. I could go back another 15 years but we all know they'd be near the top constantly. Are they finished

I think this formula is flawed. Pats beat Oakland 100 times out of 100

If history is any indicator, every year people ask if they're finished and every year TB/BB prove them wrong. I won't count them out until they're eliminated from playoff contention or one of the two retire.

The last two times they went 1-2 they went to the SB I believe. So I’m gonna go with no.

Absolutely

This is correct^

Monday was the only time Brady ever went 3/out in his first three poss of a game. Finito, he's fine but that roster stinks like ass.

I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Broncos and Raiders. So 30 is right.

Vikings at 29 seems way too low too although they had a historically bad day against Buffalo.

Yes they are #32, forgot there are only 30 in baseball + NBA but 32 in football

Did the Cardinals and Raiders quit?

Do they no longer count as NFL teams?

Having watched all three games -- the first one (Texans) they were fine, but the last two they were truly awful both games on both sides of the field. Brady and Gronk are fine. The problem is that they suck everywhere else. They need to play ALOT better than this to have any hope of doing anything this year.

All that said, they usually come out slow and Belichick coaches 'em up. Not having Edelman hurts like crazy, and the Patriots are still adjusting a bit to alot of new pieces on both sides of the ball. Last week the Patriots had three starters on defense out.

But yeah, some BAD football getting played in Foxboro right now.

Best/worst stat (depending on your point of view): The Patriots lost back to back games by 10+ points for the first time since 2002. That's a ridiculous stat to show how consistently good they've been for so long....and for why they may not be all that good this year. Time will tell.

Patriots players are mailing it in. They know that their best-case scenario is getting Mahomes' balls dragged across their faces in the AFC title game. What's the point?

There's no way. Losing to the Lions doesn't help though.

The Patriots will fix things and finish a rare 11-5...only to lose in the playoffs to KC

They dressed three WRs against the Lions.

Brady is getting older but he hasn't taken the nosedive Favre and Manning took quite yet.

Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman will be back in the next couple weeks. I expect them to go on a tear like they usually do.

Hilariously: the Dolphins are 11-1 in Ryan Tannehill's last 12 starts. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

What's amazing is that 11 is the most wins the Patriots ever had before BB/Brady. Now it'd be a down year and Pats fans would go wild with disappointment. The times, they have changed...

they get to welcome two new receivers this week...

give it time... plus brady has switched back to his old helmet. so he's good to go :thumb:

Brady is frantically frenching his son in hopes to suck out more of his youth so the Pats can go on one more run.

The interesting thing about the Patsies data is that they suck on both sides of the ball. If they were avg defensively, you could argue "Hey, their offense is likely to revert to form". But as of today they've been bad across the board.

Or else Tom Terrific will be at their doors with a mind for tongue-kissing their young children.
