I admit - I thought it. And I'm certainly NOT an idiot. :)

How about I just say I was wrong?

i think it's as simple as sutton simply realizing that houston needs to rush, not cover receivers :thumb:

Except Houston has been in pass coverage on two plays already tonight.

People need to actually watch the games.

It's just annoying to see people going on about Sutton when the scheme is the same as it has always been.

The difference tonight is that Ford and Houston are actually winning at the line of scrimmage and making plays. They've both been in coverage multiple times already.

In a time where coaching and player development/personnel is taking a beating (rightfully so) shout out to OLB coach Mike Smith as well. He’s had a good approach and doing a good job so far with more responsibilities

Looks like last year really was just a recovery year and him learning to trust his knee. Hes looking like old Houston past 2 games.

i get the feeling keenum is playing some part in this too. he looks like one of those electric football linemen in the back field :D

Houston is still playing at a very high level. He is basically in a contract year though with that cap number.

Washed?

Use it in a sentence please.

“Billay’s mom’s cooter hasn’t been washed in weeks.”

He is what he is, a motor guy that can get sacks in bunches. That motor hasn't been running as well since his injury. The secondary also doesn't cover long enough for coverage sacks like it used to

Ive been saying this for a while now.

He is still a monster.

It's quite possible hes dropped into coverage because hes the only backer that can cover. He can also tackle which most everybody else on the defense cant do.

Actually he's worthless unless he's getting 40 sacks a year!!!!!!

Both Ford and Houston showed a little bit tonight. I guess that's what happens when your coach finally turns you loose.

Not that coaches make any difference or anything.

Houston is fine. Ford showing a little something. Rest of the LB corps is aids.

They were in coverage just as much as they ever have been. They won their matchups tonight where they haven't before.

As usual, execution = success. Lack of execution doesn't.

Or maybe you just didn't watch the game and listen to the announcers chastise Denver for being too aggressive on the Chiefs last drive?

where was ford for the last three quarters or so of the game? did he get injured, or did i just miss him being on the line in the second half?

He got thrown around on plenty of plays tonight too.

Houston was mugged Tamba style on a lot of plays tonight, but fought through it. It was great to see and I hope he keeps it up.
