Pretty much from the start for about 30 minutes, his take on Mahomes is extremely high. Just all in all an awesome watch.

I thought you meant Phil Simms. Not sure I care that much about what Chris Simms thinks.

He's actually really good and that podcast is one of the best NFL ones out there. He wasn't a good player but he's really good at this job.

His Dad is all about Mr. Mahomes as well.

He’s one of my favorites to listen to. When he does Pro Football Talk with Florio in the mornings, it must watch stuff. Florio also loves him some Mahomes.

You crazy. I feel the exact opposite.

Same. Phil is alright but I'd much rather listen to Chris go through things on his podcast. Phil has an image to portray and protect so he can't be as relatable.

'Bout time someone gave Nelson credit for breaking up that hook and ladder play. :harumph:

I started a thread to give the defense some love. They deserved it in my book. We needed some stops and they came through. Scary and ugly in the end but it worked. If we had our 2 starting safeties it would look different. Berry and Dan at least can tackle.

For now, just find a way to win and get homefield advantage. 1 pt, 20 points, who cares.

Berry (and maybe Sorensen) will be available for the games that matter most. I'm guessing they'll make a move too.

Weird how Simms calls Scandrick the biggest liability on defense, not Murray. A good chunk of posters here hate on Murray, Nelson and Ragland the most.

If anybody listens to The Ringer NFL Show they gave Mahomes props but they absolutely TRASHED the Broncos and Elway. It's beautiful

That podcast in my opinion is as good as it gets for the NFL.

Every time I see Chris Simms mentioned I just keep thinking back to the Roy Williams superman dive in the Cotton Bowl.

Does this stuff give you a cathartic reaction?

I mean, I get chills listening to people who understand the game talk about Mahomes in real terms. Guys like Baldy, Brooks, Chiada, Simms and Lefkoe ... guys like that. Seriously, it's like the temperature in the room drops about 30 degrees or something.

Best part of this episode might be the complete evisceration of Eli Manning.

It's pretty insane to hear him say Mahomes has more talent than Favre does.

Simms has been a favorite of mine for a couple years now. Good raw analysis. Holds nothing back. Actually uses common sense.

I was shocked to hear him say that.

Yet he is looking at raw talent ( Pat ) over a finished product ( Farve ).

I've heard one other pundit say that it was Demarius Thomas' fault on that overthrow at the end. It does seem like he slowed down and had to get started again. But then again we don't know for sure what his route instructions were.

I like that show a lot. Simms is very good, and it shows that you don’t need two guys arguing with each other or injecting disagreement to make for entertaining football discussion.

Chris Simms has become one of my favorite talking heads out there with regard to the game. He's great at breaking down the game on a laymen level.

Also, he drops a lot of F-bombs, which I enjoy.
