Wait, I thought the Chiefs couldn't acquire the video even if they wanted to...

Who has connections in Cleveland and is seen( if only marginally )as a "football savior" of sorts, a guy who brought a legit QB to town and seems to be accomplishing things his predecessors couldn't?
Of course buying off the local evidence locker is completely far-fetched and could never happen in real life, especially if you just needed to get a copy of the evidence.

Right?

Also consider that BB has ties to Cleveland and could call in a favor to past associates as well.

Or, you look at which AFC playoff team stands to be most likely manhandled by an RB, which one would be most likely to have the overall scales tipped out of their favor should the Chiefs running game be fully intact.
In the current AFC playoff picture, excluding the "in the hunt" teams, we have KC, NE, PITT, HOU, LAC, and Baltimore, with the Chargers and Ravens currently holding wild card position.
Of those teams, we have played and there exists documented outcomes and statistics against three teams; LAC, PITT, and NE. So you start there and figure out which of these teams would be most impacted by Hunt's presence.
Once that is accomplished, you have to consider the motivation and the agenda. The motivation for my top 2 suspects( and for any suspect really )is the Super Bowl. Simple. The agenda however is a little more tricky.
My gut instincts tell me that NE, for all of its "favored nation" status in the league, knows when to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up, especially when it has been fed and fattened at the NFL trough so thoroughly. Brady's legacy is for all intents and purposes secure, and there's really nothing left to prove at this point. And while it's possible that they could push, at the NFL round table, to be included in at least one more Super Bowl festivity, I'm not sensing it right now. Which brings me to suspect #2.

Follow the money.

It's no secret that the league has a mega-ton shitload of cash and investment opportunity tied up in southern California. They way they front and back-loaded the Rams in the last two off seasons is nothing short of standing up in everyone's face, pulling down your pants, and taking a big piss on the sidewalk all but DARING anyone to say anything about it. I can't recall ever seeing a collection of talent come together so fast and effortlessly in my entire life of watching this game. And when you consider the steps implemented to induce "parity" among the league, it becomes even MORE fantastical!
If, and this is a BIG if, the league wanted to feature a Super Bowl starring the league's hottest young QB while making sure that their So-Cal investment moves forward, they would probably want to make DAMN SURE that Rams would come out on top so that the fan base in LA would grow overnight, and would pick up national and global fans along the way. ANYTHING to keep momentum moving forward.
The other and more likely possibility is that the league sees this as an opportunity to feature BOTH teams from the So-Cal venture, and to double down on local support moving forward. In that instance, I believe we would see probably the closest thing to a completely fair and officiated game because at this point; the league has already won, so let the players play! Like the old days! LMAO Jeeeeze....

There's a place for Mahomes and ultimate victory in this league. Of that I have no doubt. You can't HAVE a talent like Mahomes in this league and NOT promote the piss out of him, because he is going to sell, sell, sell.
That said, my instincts tell me that 2018 is not that time, and that the league did not plan for Mahomes in the big picture for 2018 because NO ONE could have foreseen what was coming. But you can believe they're planning for him now going forward, oh yes.

So what's the verdict?

The jury of one in the case of Hunt vs the NFL finds the defendant, the NFL, guilty of tampering and maneuvering, of destroying a young man's career with the team he loved, in the name of securing status, funding, and fan support for the Los Angeles Reclamation Project.

The league will be sentenced to 15/20 years of Patrick Mahomes II enemas, laden with anti-freeze and given without lubrication.

Court adjourned.

If there was an AFC team involved it would most likely lead to the Browns. With John Dorsey, Todd Haley and the Cleveland ties that BB has there it would only make sense that the Browns with local leverage could have gotten that video. Then with the history of those people and the threat we are to the Patriots there is definitely motive.
