Why in the heck would the Rams want Kingsbury? They already have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL . I don't think it would that much of a positive impact for them.

Keeps him off another NFL team.

I’m starting to dislike the Rams for simple reason that they do everything I would want to do if I was a HC/GM.

Knowing that I’ve been wrong often in the past, my only hope is that they fall flat on their faces at some point.

I'm not too sure that would work out. BOTH guys have HUGE egos. The only thing it would do IMO, would keep Kingsbury away from another team. But that does have some value.

Exactly. And Reid has him dialed in very well!

Goff 1
Mahomes 0

Goff might be average, but his average is better than anything the Chiefs have ever trotted out as QB sans Mahomes.

Wow, I just don't get this at all. He could have gone to the NFL as an assistant, learned to round out his coaching and game, and then become a top and dangerous candidate for ncaa coach.

Maybe this springboards him quicker into an ncaa head coaching job that he will be underqualified for. It seems like a shortcut to me.

So what's Mahomes' weakness? Driving? Putting? Chipping?

SC's head coaching job isn't exactly stable.

Point is I think he'd benefit from serving as an assistant in the NFL, considering he would have his pick of any coach he'd work for. Working for Sean mcvay as an assistant is not only an incredible learning experience, it also gives you huge street cred. More importantly, it makes him a better head coach. I agree he made the move to usc probably thinking he could get the head coaching job. Which is why I think it's the shortcut. It's the quickest path to a HC job but I think he big time needs seasoning if he wants to actually be successful.

I seriously doubt Andy wants Mahomes trusted former coach in his ear undermining the foundation that he has laid the last 2 years
