Holy shit. http://www.tmz.com/2018/12/03/kareem-hunt-nightclub-attack-police-report/

TMZ Sports has obtained a police report filed by a man who claims he was brutally attacked by Kareem Hunt in a Kansas City nightclub back in January ... though Hunt was never arrested.

The accuser claims he was at Mosaic nightclub around 2 AM on January 7, 2018 -- hours after the Chiefs were knocked out of the playoffs by the Tennessee Titans.

According to the police report, filed 4 days later on Jan. 11, the man says he saw his friend getting shoved by 3 men ... one of whom was George Atkinson, a running back for the Chiefs at the time.

The man claims he confronted Atkinson -- but the NFL player punched him in his shoulder. The man claims he fought back, but Atkinson and his crew (which included Kareem Hunt) beat the daylights out of him.

The man claims he was struck in his body and head multiple times and believes he was knocked unconscious. He told police he was treated at the North Kansas City Hospital emergency room for a broken rib, broken nose and multiple bruises and contusions.

Cops note in the report the accuser had cuts on his mouth at the time he filed his report.

The man told cops he did not want to file the report but his family members convinced him it was the right thing to do.

We spoke with the Kansas City PD -- and a rep says neither Hunt nor Atkinson were arrested and no charges were ever filed in the case.

Cops told us the victim stopped cooperating with investigators after filing the report -- so the case never went anywhere. Unclear why the man went off the grid.

We reached out to the alleged victim for comment but haven't been able to reach him.

What is Mosaic nightclub like?

Hunt may have been paying his way out of trouble for a while. Sounds like the system (via his money and fame) has been enabling him basically. I'm not shocked he thought he could get away with anything.

Is anyone going to continue to criticize the Chiefs' rationale here?

Hunt clearly needs some kind of help for his anger - but the Chiefs weren't going to be able to support him unless he was fully honest with them.

Sounds like he's been paying off the people involved and then they stop cooperating.

The incident in June or July at the resort shows he learned absolutely nothing and has some serious anger issues.

Sure made him run good though.

DrunkBassGuitar
12-03-2018, 04:23 PM
If the victim isn't cooperating, to be fair there isn't much the cops can do. If report something, then refuse to cooperate later, it's makes a conviction much more difficult, to the point of likely not being possible. Which is kind of the point.

Hunt clearly has issues with anger and drinking. Way to blow a payday.

I guess playing running back at a high level requires a certain level of stupid anyway. They often describe collisions in the NFL as car wrecks. A running back carries the ball and gets into 15-20 car wrecks each game? That would need a person who was pretty dumb to do that.

Well this mitigates the story a little - sounds like the victim was drunk and did some punching of his own - before getting stomped out basically. Still no excuse for Kareem to be involved in that kind of stuff - and subsequent trouble proves he learned nothing from it.

Given that your narrative has been that she was instigating the problem and was an equal contributor to the violence, perhaps you might want to reevaluate that position in light of Hunt's behavior, and that of his friends, both before and after said incident.

That “narrative” seemed to be consistent with every witness, including her own friend, so it’s kind of hard for me to still not feel that way.

However, I do feel that Hunt is a ****ing idiot the more that comes out and clearly prone to violent/angry outbursts and other bad decisions.

I still think he could’ve hurt that girl if he wanted to and she left the altercation without a scratch.

Hunt may have been paying his way out of trouble for a while. Sounds like the system (via his money and fame) has been enabling him basically. I'm not shocked he thought he could get away with anything.

I used to go to Mosaic. It's actually a pretty nice night club. Definitely more upscale than most.

8. KAREEM HUNT, Toledo (5-10 ½, 218, 4.59, 3-4): Third-year junior. “If he was playing at one of the SEC schools the whole world would know about him,” said one scout. “I didn’t have the guts to give him higher than a third-round grade given the competition. Seldom tackled by the first man. Effective receiver out of the backfield. Excellent balance.” Weight fluctuated wildly in the last 12 months (was 237 last spring). That and [/B]off-field issues require scrutiny.[/B] “He’s grown up where I’m comfortable with the kid,” a second scout said. “But he’s not special enough to be the guy.” Carried 782 times for 4,945 (6.3) and 44 TDs with 73 receptions for 555. Three-sport athlete from Willoughby, Ohio. “He’s a banger with the ability to drop his hips and move laterally,” said a third scout. “Weight may be an issue. Still trying to work through that. Really good in blitz pickup. Really showed well at the Senior Bowl.”

What do you want society to do when two young people who do not know each other get into a silly altercation?

Nothing in that video warrants a court case. The girl was also in the wrong and there was no injury caused by intentional contact. Just two stupid kids being stupid. Video is being released to screw the NFL player and now the press will try to gobble up the young lady and harm her also.

I disagree. If you watch the video here (http://www.tmz.com/videos/0_exjrtvg5/), you will see that the lady hits the wall at about 1:00 minute, due to a shove initiated by Kareem Hunt. Watch her after that. She appears to be woozy from concussing her head against the wall. She is clearly withdrawn from the fight itself and has her backed turned, kneeling down, when Kareem Hunt kicks her. So, for one thing, the video is consistent with the possibility that she was injured. Also, the kick itself was especially egregious behavior, being that it was on a downed opponent, one who is a woman. Mr. Hunt may not have realized that she was down, but that's not an excuse. He was the aggressor and was occupying himself with other folks who were only trying to stop him from continuing the conflict, so he may not have seen that she was no longer engaged. Still, even if the lady were instead a heavily tattooed male wrestler, the fact is he was not in the fight anymore, so fuckin' kickin' him would have been unsportsmanlike. The fact that she was a woman just makes it even worse.

It's incredible to me reading and hearing the low expectations that folks have for one another. Mr. Hunt's actions here were inexcusable. They warrant an apology, one that accurately and convincingly indicates that he really understands what he did and why it was wrong. I'm talking about the action on the video. The subsequent action of lying warrants a separate apology. The apology I saw on the ESPN interview was half-assed and unconvincing. The interviewer has a much better developed sense of morality and what is or is not a legitimate apology, which is why she was asking the questions she asked. She was a very good interviewer, in my opinion, because she was trying to find out if Kareem Hunt does or does not fucking understand how wrong he is and why he is wrong and how does he take steps to address the people he wronged. Kareem Hunt has a long way to go to make this right. He does not need to be on the Chiefs right now. I am glad the Chiefs cut his ass, especially given the disgraceful manner in which players like Wayne Simmons and Jevon Belcher represented the Chiefs before their untimely demises. Pray for Kareem Hunt, that he will quit being a fuck-up.

I don't know that he tried to knock her down, it seemed like he was trying to break free of his friends that were holding him back. And that caused one guy to fall hard into her after she transitioned from bowed-back talking shit mode.

The idea of kicking her when down is a lot worse than what he actually did. Seems like he definitely did not kick her hard. Seems like he saw that she was not as sassy as she was and may have figured she was getting drunk and did not realize she had banged her head.

I can understand why the Cleveland Police did not think it was a case. He was the customer of the hotel. She was not a customer and her claim for being there was that she was part of this group and the fight was over her being asked to leave. And then after she sobers up, she does not care that a case be brought.

Unless he knew that he was knocking the other people down and that would knock her down, I don't see him causing an injury with an intentional act.

It would be interesting to hear the audio, that would be useful in evaluating culpability.

You know the law far better than I do, jettio, but I would think that if someone brings himself to a confrontation the way that Kareem Hunt did, coming from a room out to a hallway, and then starts pushing people who are mostly trying to restrain him around, that the law would consider the consequences of his actions to be intentional, including the indirect consequence of his causing the antagonizing woman to get concussed against the wall.

They might bring a case and tie it into whatever anger management courses the league of his management put him on. and a lot of community service, which he probably is inclined to do anyway if it is with young people.

I don't see much benefit in trying to bring it as a contested case.

I think the young lady may have decided to move on, and if she is compelled to make this a big deal in her life, it could be worse for her that TMZ decided to make money off of this.

It seemed like he shoved the guy at first, but when I watched it over and over I think he just bumped into him trying to get away from one of his other friends that were holding him back.

He still caused it

it's so weird

he's such a happy go lucky kid

i'm shocked

I've thought about this a few times.

Eh. She was pretty clearly provoking the confrontation. Kareem was just stupid/drunk enough to take the bait.

I'm all for her getting raked over the coals for her actions. That being said, I'd say his actions go beyond stupid/drunk. Beyond being physically threatened, and even then I would need to be seriously concerned, there is no way I would do something to a woman. Forget actually making a move towards her to do it.

No matter how much of "not a kick" it was or if she wasn't hurt, you have to have something in you do cross that line. I get it's not as bad as some other horrible incidents. I don't deny grey area. But still, to me, that's crossing a line that takes a type of personality to cross.

He did it to himself. He crossed a line, and even though there is plenty that he legitimately has to point out in his defense, when you go the route he went, you are asking for trouble.

It's a shame. Selfishly it's a shame for us and for the team. Just the fun this offense was. The ULTIMATE what if that will exist if we don't win. It's also a shame for him. I guess the more stories that come out, the less this feels like a one mistake deal, but it's still a shame.

That is not folks acting. Those are folks who were concussed by the force of Kareem's shove. Kareem Hunt was at that time a NFL player.
