They are anything but a barometer of how good teams are or how they will perform in the future.

After playing one of the most physical games of the year 4 days earlier it was hard to expect anything less than them coming out less than stellar.

The Chiefs are still in control of their destiny. They are still the best team in the NFL and I don't think it's particularly close. The only thing I'm upset about this loss is that they won't be able to say they are 10-0 against the Chargers.

I feel sorry for the Seahawks, who are going to get stomped, next Sunday.

Why Not?

Some good points but hard to be considered the best team in the NFL when you're 1-3 against the 3 teams you've played that are in the conversation with you.

It’s only trash because we got punked.

3 days of rest certainly isn't enough. It's bad for players health, period.

The Chiefs are not the best team. (Yes to the best offense)
The Seahawks will beat the Chiefs because the Chiefs can't win in primetime.

Yeah this game time was supposed to favor us as it does for most teams.

Yep - we got beat because our defense is shit - they had far less of an advantage than we had and we lost. So I guess I get your point. Screw TNF : )

The Chargers also played on short rest, home teams were 11-2 on TNF going into this game, we had beat them nine straight times and they had to fly halfway across the country to play in 20 degree temps without their three best offensive players.

Everything was in our favor, and we shit the bed.

Yeah this game time was supposed to favor us as it does for most teams.

Of course the Chargers just played the two worst defenses in the league back to back while the Chiefs were smacked around by an extremely physical Ravens defense last Sunday.

Visiting teams were 3-13 on Thursday night. After tonight they are 4-13. Because Chiefs. It wouldn't have mattered if the game was on a Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. We lose against top teams and struggle against losing teams.

When two of them were one-score games on the road and you are 1-1 against the other team while completely outplaying them both times, I think it's pretty easy to consider them that way.

We lost to those 3 teams by a combined 7 points, 2 on the road, and tonight as banged up as we could be on offense both on the line and skill positions.

We will be fine if we get healthy.

Not everything in the Chiefs favor. Who would you rather play leading into a week of very short rest? The garbage Bengals defense or the Ravens? Sure as heck helps the Chargers that the Chiefs defense is every bit as bad as the Bengals. That's a nice cushy back to back schedule for Rivers.

The Chiefs have epically choked in games on Thursday’s, Saturday’s, Sunday’s... their choke jobs are not day of the week specific.

Home teams on thursday games have like a 5 or 6% chance greater than normal winning % chance. It's about 6/10 chance. If the Chiefs and Chargers opponents last Sunday were switched then I'd guarantee that the Chiefs win that game by 2-3 scores.
