If the Chiefs get a home playoff game this season, I'll probably watch a hype video on the way to the game and be on the verge of tears.

If we win that game, I'm 100% sure I'll get too black out drunk that evening to cry, but I'm certain on the drive to the AFCCG at Arrowhead, I'll be sobbing like a child. Proudly. Too many memories to wash away. God, we're overdue in sports years.

I was actually at both playoff victories at Arrowhead and they were excellent experiences, especially the game against Pittsburgh in 93. I haven't lived in KC since 99 and I'm starting to feel like those old timers that talk about the Chiefs making 2 of the first 4 Super Bowls. because it's been so long that we've won a playoff game at home.

I honestly thought I would cry in this situation. But when the Royals won the world series, It didn't really phase me. I was happy, even excited, but nowhere near feeling the need to shed a tear.

Now granted, I feel more strongly about the Chiefs so who knows. I doubt I will though.

In 15 there were expectations. 14 was pure fun because we were supposed to miss the playoffs. Lifted far more emotional baggage than the title did.

When the Royals (a team I am equally passionate about) won in 2015, I didn't cry...I was SO satisfied and relieved. It was glorious and fun and I made the rounds rubbing it in every person's face who ever mocked the Royals.

I would imagine my reaction to the Chiefs winning the SB would be similar.

Same thing happened when we were at the Seattle game.

One of Mahomes throws the Seahog fan in front of us turned around and shook his head in amazement.

He turned away and turned back to me shaking his head in agreement.

Nope. But get ready for the National Sports Press to just go "Meh" because we all know how they treat small markets especially Kansas City. BUT this time we have the X-factor in Mahomes who is pretty much respected and might I say adored by most NFL fans across the nation and the national sports press as well. If and that is a big IF we when the SB it will be very interesting to see how the national sports press treats our Chiefs following the SB victory.:hmmm:

Yes, I’ll cry for sure, but for a specific reason. My Dad, may he RIP, was the Man who started and introduced me to my Chiefs fandom. I don’t remember the game, but I was there with my Dad watching the Chiefs take down the Vikings in SBIV. He and my Mom, RIP, loved the Chiefs. I’ll shed a tear thinking of both of them, but especially my Dad, should the Chiefs ever win a SB in my lifetime.

I cried on Dec 25th 1971 when we lost to the Dolphins in the longest game ever when the first Chief's kicker to screw us over missed two and had one blocked and then that little bald headed dick Garo Ypremian kicked the winner in triple OT.
