Pops has nearly the same, even the same color scheme, but it's been a headache since it was new. His 71 Custom Camper and 84 Caprice Classic both have twice the miles and both still have twice the engine and half the rust.

Nothing that takes it completely out of service, just a wheezy weakling, comparatively speaking. If it were worse, he could take it down to the block and rebuild it, fixing whatever's wrong. But it's like it have some phantom ailment the just drags it down without ever killing it or taking it out of commission.

My hired man backed a wheat truck into it several years ago, so I had the damage repaired and I painted it back red, but added a maroon strip on the sides. It looks like there is a good possibility "Dave" won't be at the game... He wasn't a free man a week ago.

It appears Dave has been given many second chances. Fox$ News stated he has 22 arrest records in Independence alone. I saw several SIS judgements in exchange for probation. This certainly would includes drug testing someone who has a drug history. Dave was very vague when explaining why he was in jail a week ago. "I just went to jail about a week ago because of my record, my background," he said.

Police tell FOX4 News that Cochran stole another car the day before he helped that Chiefs player in the snow. He claims that was a case of mistaken identity.

David Cochran is an admitted drug addict who has had plenty of run-ins with the law, and since his unlikely vault into the limelight, his reputation has become a hot topic within police circles.

On Monday a local business reached out to help Cochran, and his string of arrests came into focus, including a run-in with police last Friday.

Looks like felony theft, possible auto theft, and drug charges among other things.

I hope the Chiefs players wives and children like the idea of sitting next to Dave.

"He's being praised on TV as a good Samaritan and that couldn't be further from the truth," Ashley Wheeler said.

"He was in the right place at the right time to help someone out, but all the bad he's done in the past shouldn't be covered up with the one good deed that he has been accounted for this week," Wheeler said.

Cochran says the urges to steal come from his addiction -- even though he claims he's been off drugs for the past three months.

I can't wait to see where this goes in the next few days. I think it's going to get interesting.

I would say that this guy stopped because Jeff Allen was driving a 2019 BMW with Texas tags and looked like a mark at first glance.

The "Dave with no name" turned out to be just what I said he was but you threw insults at me for voicing what I believed and later turned out to be the truth.

Judges letting the twerp get off on probation and SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence) judgments or he would be in jail right now. He did spend 5 years hard time and several stints where he was unable to post bond or from probation violations.

Fox 4 stated that local police know "Dave" very well and are not happy about his new found popularity. FOX4 seems to have decided not to pursue Dave's past or even recent past but did mention he was arrested last week and "Dave" confirmed he was in jail at that time.
