Context: This past May my family and I joined a couple other neighbors on a vacation to a 4x4 beach house in Carova, NC (OBX). I've always been a collector of sea glass ever since I was a little kid growing up on the Jersey Shore.
The cool part: I decide to take a long walk down the shoreline one late afternoon as the sun was going down to search for some more pieces to add to the lifelong collection. As I'm looking down on a collection point of rocks that the tide has brought in, a slate looking triangle rock with perfect notches comes into view. I yelled out, "Get the **** outta here!"
I stumbled upon a perfectly shaped slate arrowhead from the Woodland period. My one buddy, a knowledgeable Eagles fan (rare), looked at me and goes, "It's an Omen..."
Here I am on my laptop this morning booking my first flight into Kansas City with the wife after a lifelong wait where I promised myself that my first visit to Arrowhead will be when we host the AFCC game.
I plan to bring my lucky rock with me next weekend. Representing #58 Jersey in section 103. Excited beyond words!
