I have warned my boss I will at minimum call in sick for the Super Bowl, but...

My job is so new, I don't want to ask for any days off leading up. My hours worked as it stands, is greater than what has been asked of me. :thumb:

Any one else having to miss out on the championship game besides me?

:cuss:

You can always find a new job but this is the first of many AFC championship games its historic and changing of the guard.

I had tickets to the AFC Wildcard that we beat the Texans in 30-0, but lay-off rumors were in the air at Sprint and my boss told me they needed me for a software release that weekend. I was laid off two weeks later. Missed our first playoff win since ‘93.

Your manager at Pizza Hut won’t allow a tv to be on in the back of the kitchen?

There would be ZERO chances I would miss this game due to work.

No job is worth it for a TRUE Chiefs fan.

At least you're in Australia where it probably won't be all over the news/radio. DVR the game and stay off of them just in case, as well as your phone until you get off.

I would have told him right when I got hired.

I still wouldn’t miss it. The company will still be there.

:bravo: solid advice, and you can run through the commercials this way.

I was wondering who works at 5:40 PM on a Sunday until I realized you live in Australia.

That blows man. I found out my grandmother almost died Monday on Tuesday. Had some bad heart problems. Thankfully she is stabilized and doing much better, so a suprise trip to Wyoming looks less and less likely for this weekend.

I actually did tell them during my interview, if my team made the super bowl, I would be asking for the day off.

I don't want to push it by asking for two days off work for a gridiron game. :thumb:

Can you DVR? If not, quit.

There's a website that uploads the videos of games without the scores. Turn off your phone and go to that in the morning!

NFL gamepass. Keep your phone off. Make sure to update your settings on nfl.com to not show scores.

Wait until you're off work. Watch game live. Get crunk.

Profit.

Literally.

I was working until late in the 4th qtr last week. Worked out for me. I enjoyed every minute of DVR the next day. Including the pregame show which was excellent.

I missed the Royals parade because my God damn boss wouldnt let me off. I quit shortly after that. I will never miss something like that again, it may be your only chance to ever experience it, especially considering that it was the Royals parade I missed. They dont have a Mahomes.

I wish I was you so I didn't have all these images and memories engraved in my head for the rest of my life instead of just a final score...

during my lunch break, i did peek at the live stream. just enough to see a 20 minute span that was punctuated by that bullshit roughing call to keep the D from forcing a fourth down. right then, i knew. regardless of the rest of the game, i knew.

i can't wait for the chiefs to start getting those calls...

i have as well seen the screen shot of dee ford in the zone. he's done this how many times now? (RT, sure was back, but still)

i as well hope KC management can trick some teams into paying a high price for trades of our players. we can't just 'let them go'.

and as well...
