I'm sure the list will change and obviously some, if not most, of these guys will get re-signed or tagged, but this popped up on my Google news feed. Man it would be awesome to bring some of the guys in with our shiny new DC

I struggle with embedding links/images if a mod would be so kind. Sorry if Q.

Edit- I misread title. Says top 25 free agents, defense dominates..
Hooked on phonics clearly didn't work for me

Granted we have several guys to re-sign/extend, but according to spotrack we'll have ~36 million in space.

I'm not sure its the right move but you dont think we could get someone like Thomas on a 1 year deal? I dont see him getting a huge deal after breaking his leg in back to back years.

I disagree. This is only true if we go into the season with Houston on his current deal and a tagged Dee Ford along with Berry's deal as it stands.

I doubt all three of those things happen.

Agreed. I'm sure we'll have enough for at least one, if not 2-3 solid guys

Hey Vikings fan here.

Just curious. Would you Chiefs fans trade a 2nd rd pick to the Vikings for Trae Waynes? He's on the final year of his rookie deal where we exercised the 5th yr option so he's due $9 million for 2019.

Others might disagree, but I don't think CB is a very high priority for this team (unless Nelson walks, I guess). We need safeties and inside linebackers.

I don't know what cap sorcery the Rams pulled this past year, but maybe we ask them how to do it.

We would trade you a first for Harrison Smith!

after letting Berry, Houston, Sorensen go June 1
and tagging and trading Ford

I'd take Trey Flowers if we're 4-3
Zaddarius (sp?)Smith OLB from Baltimore if we're 3-4
Landon Collins no matter what.

On board with all of this. Will be interesting to see if the Pats go hard after Flowers. He is a gem. Does almost everything right. Appears to be a player with a high football I.Q., which our D desperately needs. I'm afraid someone is going to pay him a WHOLE LOT of money. Chiefs won't be in the running most likely. Collins is going to get paid, but I think the Chiefs have a better shot at him.

We need Veach to pull some “Pats trade down 25-ish spots for Van Noy” kinda magic.

Have they indicated they're interested in trading him? That would be interesting. Here's his contract:

Ford isn't on the cap at the moment for 2019. it still needs some space.
