Finally had a chance to get into Minsky’s and try the Joe’s pizza and god damn it was good! For any locals that haven’t had a chance to try it, do it before it goes away.

Sounds like you got a skimpy one. Mine definitely had that much, though it wasn’t balanced the greatest. A couple of the slices on mine were fairly light and a couple were covered top to bottom.

I knew him (Gregg) from the Gaslight District in Omaha where Godfathers Pizza started , he sold and came to KC and I met him again and became (hmmm) friends (He drove a brown Mercedes 2 door coupe maybe a 250CE" see example) as they were opening Shawnee KS location. I recall us discussing Haas Motors in Brookside several times.

This looks like you, yet it's better looking with time ....It's last weeks pizza. Brined, seasoned, rested for 24 hours and re-seasoned before going on to round one on the smoker (12 hours). That's pecan wood and it's fat side down.

Keep in mind that this was told to me by our 17 year old waiter, so I’m not sure exactly how much he really knew, but I was told they’d be around another 2-4 weeks depending on sales. He also confirmed sales had been really good when I mentioned that it seemed like 75% of the people where I was had ordered it. Based on that, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

It's real strong on the celery salt. Doesn't really taste like seasoned salt at all, at least not to me. It's like they put their dry rub on fries.

Sounds like they were definitely busy and understaffed with drivers at the Minsky’s in Shawnee tonight. First time having it and I was very satisfied. Maybe the 3 hour buildup adds to how good it tastes. LMAO

I ordered mine yesterday and it was delicious. Got to my house 30 minutes after I ordered it. Minsky's always treats me right because I've ordered a pizza from almost every week for the last 12 years. Having three boys makes a good relationship with multiple pizzarias more important than it should be.

That’s weird. Every one that I’ve ordered has been loaded with meat. Maybe your location is trying to increase the number of pizzas they can sell by shorting the meat on each pizza.

The "bbq beef" on the pizza is just like the "bbq beef" you can buy in the frozen section. I've had my fair share of Casey's "bbq beef" pizza and of course they can pile on "bbq beef" because it's crock pot shit.
