Home/Away with 2018 records... will be interesting to see what KC does on defense. Quite a few teams with solid offenses on their schedule.

Dumbasses, Mahomes gives you the Manning effect. 12 wins is a given now.

Most sure bet in sports right now is taking the under on the Chiefs before it goes down at 10.5 ( I have the chiefs at 10 or 9 wins) and taking the over on the raiders (6) and seahawks (8.5).

Meh. Given what our team currently looks like and Hill's situation I'm not surprised.

If Hill remains, we have a good draft, and we add at least one more impact FA I'm willing to believe we are a 12+ win team.

10.5 is second highest in the NFL behind NE at 11.

This is just a bet. They’re not saying we’re only going to win 10 games

The Raiders were a possible playoff team if they had kept Nelson and Cook, AND drafted well (not guaranteed)

I mean we have like a 21-3 record against the division since 2015, and you believe our division record will be 2-4?

I'll take any bet you want to make that the Chiefs don't go 2-4 against AFCW teams.

I think Vegas is dead on here.

This is a 10-11 win team given they stay relatively healthy. There will be some scheme growing pains on defense, and while Veach was smart getting rid of Ford, Houston, and Berry in one fell swoop it will be a challenge to generate a similar pass rush. Even if Veach hits a homerun in the draft, rookies won’t make that much of an impact in year one to replace what Ford/Houston did. I expect the secondary to be better.

Offensively, the Chiefs will score, but maybe not at the hyper pace they did the first 2/3 of last season. Kareem Hunt’s absence will be felt over the long haul and if Hill finds himself missing time or worse because of the battery investigation, there will be concerns. Teams have more tape on Mahomes and it will hard for him to exceed his 2018 production.

I’m cautiously optimistic that an improvement in coaching combined with a solid draft and maybe a surprise trade or FA addition could get the Chiefs back to where they were last season - contending in the AFC, and in the SB hunt. I would not be shocked though, to see the team experience some hiccups along the way. The 2020 cap situation looks much better and a year in Spagnuolo’s scheme might allow Veach and Reid to better identify exactly what this team needs to make perennial Superbowl runs.

Teams had a whole year of tape on Mahomes and not one team was ever able to stop him for a whole game. What a shitty take.
