View Full Version : Chiefs Would You Trade Tyreek Hill for What OBJ Fetched?

'Hamas' Jenkins

OBJ went for a mid-first, a third, and an average-ish starting DB.

Given Hill's continued issues, would you accept this deal?

Nickhead
04-24-2019, 04:26 PM
no team would make that trade with the skeletons tyreek has currently.

You wouldn't get that is the problem.

I don't think that was the question, Francis

Who’s going to offer that for him now?

If someone offered, fuck yes.

MTG#10
04-24-2019, 04:29 PM
Hell yes I would, especially with the uncertainty of Hill's future with us. We have Mahomes, he would still be a great QB without Hill and those picks would really help us out in other areas of need.

Deberg_1990

Yes I would.

No one will offer that though

Even if someone offered that, and they wouldn’t, I’d probably keep him.

Losing Hill would likely be a death blow to our Super Bowl aspirations this year.

I don't think they could get a second for him now. What I'm interested in is if you'd take this deal.

Eleazar
04-24-2019, 04:31 PM
I would take the first, or the third, or the starting DB, since I doubt Hill will play many more games in red, anyway

JakeF
04-24-2019, 04:31 PM
At this point, we would have to take a trade like that. Just too much crap going on to risk not taking it. :(

OnTheWarpath15

I'd do it for the 1st and the DB depending on where the 1st is.

Before this bump in the road, my answer would be the loudest 'no' that has ever resonated from a mountainside.

Now? It kills me, but I'd have to think about it. Innocent or not, he's walking a very, very fine line with his life decisions, and unless something changes dramatically in his living situation he's going to get knocked off into the abyss at some point. Someone in the press conference thread mentioned that he might not stay after his contract is up, and I think unfortunately that's a realistic possibility.

Keep him this year, win a Lombardi, and then (dejected sigh) take that offer.

(Second dejected sigh.) I REALLY like watching him on the field and wish that he could be a Chief forever with no more drama.

Bowser

You just couldn't say no to that offer. Problem is, nobody is going to offer it.

And just for the record, I feel anyone not named Mahomes on this team is tradable for the right price.

What about X Factor?

What about X Factor?

I think I would offer him and a 1st and a 3rd to the Raiders for their cheerleaders.

They really do have good cheerleaders. I'll give them that.

I wonder how that will change when they go to Vegas. I suspect there's good talent there, too. Maybe a little sluttier.

Trade him to a dump for a 7th round pick. Fuck Hill. Miles apart from Kareem Hunt situation.

Would it still be top 10? Absolutely, but Hill is such a game changer. Especially with a QB that has a limitless arm.

There’s no other WR I’d give Patrick if given the choice based on pure ability and how they match together.

Voted yes but, in a scenario when he's no worse than OBJ in terms of off-field conduct, Hill should be getting a higher trade return since his skills are more conducive to making the guy chucking him the ball look a lot better.

In the end this may be a gift for the Chiefs, let the NFL decide what its going to do with him, then sign him to a long term deal like 10-12M a year, like the Vikings signed Adam Thielen to.

Adam Thielen signed a 4 year, $64,200,000 contract with the Minnesota Vikings, including a $9,000,000 signing bonus, $33,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,050,000. In 2019, Thielen will earn a base salary of $805,000, a signing bonus of $9,000,000, a roster bonus of $4,400,000 and a workout bonus of $100,000, while carrying a cap hit of $8,105,000 and a dead cap value of $16,105,000.

- POTENTIAL OUT: 2021, 2 YR, $24,305,000; $5,400,000 DEAD CAP

This! His toughness is impeccable. He rarely is injured and plays through it all. He has improved every single year. Hill and Kelce combined for the 6th or 5th most receiving yards as a tandem since the merger. Hill is special

No one knows what happened! Hill wasn't even in town on one of the dates in question. He's getting roasted for his past. No charges filed...but the public (who doesn't know chit) wants to hang him.

Everyone talking like Hill is the best receiver in the NFL.

News flash, he isn't. Even if his talent is unlike anyone else. If Houston offered Hopkins straight up I'd take that in a second.

1. We wouldn't get that much if there are 'continued issues'
2. His presence the next two seasons is invaluable - we can't replace what he provides

I've never expected him to stay here any longer than that anyway

The only chance Hill gets extended in my opinion is if he signs a really cheap deal for his talents. No way can they give big money with his issures. He's about to have 3 kids, not just one. Not saying he's guilty but his relationship with his baby momma seems to be toxic.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I don't think he was involved with what happened to the child at all. He hit every single bar necessary to have his charges from college expunged. And he was about to get paid.

So, I would not trade him at all. I think his speed and play making ability, paired with the arm strength and balls of Mahomes, makes him worth more than OBJ.
