I remember the incident at the gym but didn't remember this funeral home incident at all.

Three months later, he was arrested at an Arizona funeral home for allegedly threatening to shoot employees and demanding his deceased father be decapitated for research.

Seems like the kind of guy you'd want to locker next to! Great signing for the Fade

This is why I hate Raiders fans. Their team hasn't been relevant in close to 2 decades, yet they come in talking shit like they're the friggin Patriots. I'm surprised that none of them have thrown out their last Superbowl yet. I don't care if they have been there since us. It's still been a long long time ago and the Chiefs are actually a contender, unlike the pretender Faiders. Their fans need to STFU until their team can actually make the playoffs.

No, Amari did exactly what he's always done after being traded. Big games against teams with shit secondaries, and vanished against good teams. Check his stat lines. Up, down, up, down. Just like it always was. Started showing the drops for the Cows as well.

Now he's playing hardball for the biggest contract ever given to a WR. Raiders robbed the Cows by getting a 1st rounder for Cooper.

I wouldn't bet against Raiders getting a top 10 selection next year, but I doubt the top 5.

Raiders essentially gave up the 2015 4th overall pick for the 2019 29th....by your assessment, Cooper was a bust.

Carr is an average NFL QB...he'll never be anything more than he already is.

The Raiders were just happy to finally find mediocre QB play...and promptly overpaid him.

! year contract at league minimum isnt a bad deal because if he is healthy and not suspended by Godell he could still be a mauler/road grader type of guard. Carr might get himself bitchslapped though if he pisses off Richie lol

Cooper isn't a true #1, so yeah, he's basically a bust considering his draft position. His physical skills should put his stats around Antonio Brown. Instead, he's a good #2 who has bad lapses with hands and a ton of drops. Which is why I'm very happy to have traded him for a first round pick which we used to pick the best safety (potentially obviously) from this past draft.

I'm not going to argue about Carr. At this point, he's more than just a guy, but not more than somewhat above average. It'll be real interesting how he looks with WR's who catch the ball at a higher rate and actually fight for the ball. Still the 3rd best QB, at best, in the AFCW.

Cooper isn't a true #1, so yeah, he's basically a bust considering his draft position.

If you take his 11 games in a Cowboy uniform, and project that for five more games, his stats would have been:

103 receptions
1303 yards
10 tds

Yeah, just a crappy #2 receiver.

EDIT: I can't wait to see Brown's melt downs next year from not being utilized enough.

He had most of those stats in a few games, and he then had games with like 40 yards against tougher teams. He did the same basic shit as a Raider. 200 yards against a terrible Chiefs secondary, then vanish against the Donks better secondary.

Cooper also started dropping balls for the Cows towards the end of the year.

His salary demands are going to hamstring the Cows if they capitulate considering the other guys who need paid on that team.

PunkinDrublic
05-29-2019, 09:05 AM
Cooper is a #1 receiver and Carr would be further along in his career if he were on just about any other team but the Faiders more often than not prove that they can’t develop players. It doesn’t matter how many first round picks they get, that shitbag franchise will fuck it up.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/05/29/should-raiders-have-given-richie-incognito-his-latest-second-chance/

Should Raiders have given Richie Incognito his latest second chance?

The Raiders are flirting with acquiring a shiner on their good eye.

The team’s latest calculated risk comes from the decision to sign offensive lineman Richie Incognito, giving him at least his second second chance. Or maybe it’s his third second chance. Or maybe it’s his second third chance.

Incognito’s behavior has resulted in not one but two full seasons away from football, one coming in 2014 following the Jonathan Martin incident in Miami and one coming in 2018 after he threatened to shoot up a funeral home — and had the weaponry in his vehicle to do it.

Incognito’s litany of bad behavior goes back at least 15 years. He had anger-management issues and assault charges and suspensions while at Nebraska before leaving school in September 2004. He transferred to Oregon, but he lasted there only one week................

More at the link.

jdubya
05-29-2019, 11:11 AM
Typical of Raiders type of acquisition but not really. The difference is Al Davis would have given up 3 future first round picks and paid Incognito $100 million dollars and then he would have been suspended by the league for a year or get arrested or whatever and the old raiders would be out of future picks and money. This pick up is costing them nothing (league minimum) if Incognito can`t play and could seemingly just be cut before the season starts. Like I said earlier it is kind of a non story with low risk and possible decent award if he is healthy and stays "clean" so to speak.
