He wasn’t part of the Chargers’ offseason program until minicamp.

When he finally arrived, Melvin Ingram did so boisterously.

“We’re definitely going to win the Super Bowl,” he announced this week. “Still ASAP — Any Squad Any Place. That’s what we’re about.”

Ingram, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end entering his eighth season, never has been shy about making brash, sweeping statements.

After the Chargers were eliminated from the playoffs in January by New England, he said: “We didn’t win the Super Bowl. We didn’t accomplish nothing.”

The Chargers are considered to be among the top teams in the NFL. At 12-4, they finished tied with Kansas City for the AFC’s best record in 2018.

If by "We’re definitely going to win the Super Bowl,” he means "Phillip Rivers is a whiny overrated bitch", he's absolutely correct.

Maybe they should aim for winning the division first.

They really think they’re better than us because they finally didn’t get swept.

This pretty much guarantees that they won't be in the SB.

A regular season game against the Chiefs is the Super Bowl for them. Maybe that's what he's talking about?

Without giving the year it’s happening I’d have to say that the chances are high that he’s correct.

May not be this century but it will happen.

Hot take: Phillip Rivers shouldn’t be in the HOF.

Dude is a stat whore who sucks dick when it matters. Chargers were the most talented overall team in the league and they got embarrassed by the Pats.

They lost the division bc they got beat at home by a QB who can’t throw the ball ROFL

They haven't won the division in nine years. And for most of that, they weren't facing the best quarterback in the NFL on the other sideline.

This is why the Chargers lost the division last year. If you skip to 8:30 minutes watch Rivers make a classic melt down bad play when he throws the ball down instead of just falling down to keep the clock running. It gave Denver time to kick a field goal to win the game. WOW!

Well, God knows the NFL and their nine fans want them to win the Super Bowl.

Well, I guess there's no point in playing now. Let's just wrap it up. The media have already crowned the Chargers AFC West champs and now Ingram has crowned them Super Bowl champs. I just don't see why we would play now. Golly Jeepers

I remember watching that and laughing and thinking what in the actual fuck is he doing?!? I mean I'm ecstatic, but what a fucking dumbass

I'm sure everybody will pick them, just like they do every other year. And then they'll perform just like they do every other year.

Melvin Ingram declares Chargers are ‘definitely going to win the Super Bowl’

Yeah, they rented a few charter buses to bring them to the game to party and watch the two teams play for the trophy.

Very realistic to talk about the Chargers being seriously in the SB hunt, do see a 12-4 reg season. But it ends there.

Starting LT out for 6 weeks due to blood clots
Starting RB holding out
Starting Safety out

Yeah, I don't see it, sorry

Also, they should've stayed in San Diego.

If they keep losing players (James, Gordon, Okung,), they may be in a dog fight just to make the playoffs.

With Houston (who owns Rivers) rushing the passer for the Colts I could see them rallying together for the upset. They'll finish with a losing record but I can see them being an emotional team that can ride that over a short stretch.

Don't forget that with Luck they were the 2nd or 3rd best team in the AFC...
