Not sure that is a guy. It would appear to be a female that identifies as a...well I don't even know.

He's a guy, Mr. Chief Roundup.

One of his videos is a sort of "Day In The Life" thing in which he goes through his morning ritual; how he does his hair, how he selects his wardrobe, what he has for breakfast, etc.; thus providing positive evidence that he is a biological male.

For me, he's one of those people who foster both a feeling of fascination and pity. And if I had to nail it down, I lean more toward the fascination side, to be honest.

I read him as simply a unique individual who has carved out a nice life for himself when things could easily have gone another way. From that perspective, he has my respect.

The strange thing for me is that I absolutely despise fast food (the vast majority of it, anyway), so I'm guessing that I subbed the guy simply because he's odd and doesn't appear to give a damn. There's a part of me that has to appreciate a guy like that.

I don’t need Brah to tell me how that big mess is gonna be, particularly with the BK around here

Yet that’s no slight on this kid, as Mr FAX said he has my respect for monetizing himself like this... the kids making bank on this stuff

When you think about it, isn't meat just plants that have been highly processed by a living organism?

It's not like we eat carnivores. Unless you count seafood.

Sorry. A little baked right now and that's where my mind wandered to. I'm done.

dude, this kid reminds me of a dude I worked with in the Navy. I think I've mentioned it before. but the Navy dude had the same physique - skinny, no muscle tone, but the kid could EAT. He was from some po-dunk town in Texas, and said before he joined the Navy his town just got a McDonald's. His entire life, he didn't have any fast food or something crazy like that. So once he tried it, he was hooked like a crack addict. This kid was borderline retarded, I'm not even sure how he made it into the Navy. Just no social skills, almost child-like.

Anyway, this kid would throw down McDonald's, no kidding, probably 3 times a day; and 4 on the weekend. Our base had $.40 cheeseburgers every day; and like $1 fries. so this kid would get like 4 orders of fries and 8 cheeseburgers. there would be random times we'd be in the court yard of our barracks drinking beer etc, and he'd show up. We were all cool/nice to him (he wa a nice kid..just 'off'). We'd give him a beer, and just be standing around in a small circle shooting the breeze, then we'd heard paper crinkling; we'd look over, and the kid is pulling out a cheeseburger he had stashed in his pocket. We joked that whilst most of us had chew can rings in our back pockets of our jeans, he had a cheeseburger ring in his jeans.

Much like Review Brah.....this kid looked horribly unhealthy. His skin, like Review Brah, looked almost grey. To this day I think that kid looked like that because he had McDonald's secret formula pumping through his veins 24/7.

Commercial plant farming isn't any better for the environment so I don't see how there is an enviornmental gain in eating more non beef products.

Commercial plant farming isn't any better for the environment so I don't see how there is an enviornmental gain in eating more non beef products. This is true. The problem is that cows have to eat too, and it takes way more than 750 calories of plants to grow a 750 calorie steak (not to mention the water required both to grow their food and to water the cows themselves).

I'm not at all the type to freak out about this stuff, and I'll be eating ribeyes until I die, but as a general trajectory, it's pretty clear that the world would be a better place if we didn't have so many pooping and farting, inefficient meat machines around.

So ... in olden times when 30 million bison roamed the Great Plains and another 60 million rampaged throughout the rest of North America (not to mention the deer and elk and wild goats), the ecology seemed to do fine ... but now that there are cattle raised in controlled environments and not allowed to trample the grass and trees and squirrels and acorns, it's worse?

Apparently, I need to research this issue further.

I used to get those tacos at BK in the 80s when Jack in the Box was still in KC and BK was in competition. I liked the BK better as it looked more like beef than the full of filler JITB taco. It was ok then Ill try them now if I get into BK. Seems like they were .50 back then deep fried kinda a poorer mans version of In a Tub deep fried tacos.

As for the impossible burger it would be impossible for me to try this.

If Monty Burns of the Simpsons had a real life kid, Review Brah would be it. Those long pointy ultra white fingers, the way he sips water from a wine glass, the way he dabs his face with the napkin after each bite.

If nothing else, catch the first episode. It's St. Louis, which is kinda neat in itself, . . . but the last segment is on Grace Meat Plus 3, which is part of the family that started with Pappy's for BBQ, then expanded to Southern for Nashville Hot Chicken [two of my favorite restaurants around, . . . period].

His restaurant GM+3 is, homestead dinner-style [start with 'saying grace' over your dinner, and you get meat of the day and 3 sides, hence the name].

Anyway, he prepares a Fried Bologna Sandwich that, . . . holy fark, it should be on OnlyFans or Redtube. I think I actually teared up at one point.

I'd call the Impossible Whopper an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. If someone gave you one without telling you what it was, I doubt you'd notice. It's not a perfect replacement for ground beef, but it's as good as anything I've tasted (and my wife is vegetarian, so I've tasted a lot).

I always somewhat considered BK burgers "Impossible" before they branded the Impossible Whopper. They always had an artificial "charbroil" flavor to me that I found off putting even by FF standards.

I'm surprised so many vegans/vegetarians accept this form of meat replacement. What gives it the meat flavor is a synthesized haem (related to hemoglobin) molecule. Better eating through chemistry.

Yeah, most of these "impossible" meats contain a small percentage of animal-derived or synthesized "meat".

Newly crowned best fried chicken in Missouri

Grace Meat + Three is well-known in St. Louis for having the best fried chicken in all of Missouri. Pick Rick's Famous Fried Chicken,*and you're guaranteed to be enthralled. It comes with house pickles, and you can opt to have it Original or Hot and Spicy. If you enjoy spiciness, don't hesitate to go the spicy route. It's fabulously enjoyable from the first bite to the final bite. The Original fried chicken won't let you down, but it's not quite on the same level as the Hot and Spicy version.

I've raved about Southern as the best I've had, and the folks who opened Grace, Meat + Three are family with those who opened Southern and worked the kitchen until they opened their own shop.
