I've managed restaurants 10+ years ago and the worst servers don't often know that they are bad, most of the time they think they are great. But there are plenty of bad tippers when they get good service as well and servers just have to learn you gotta take the good with the bad, complaining and crying about it isn't going to help and this server should be fired.
