eh, he had very few bad plays, but overall he prevented the pass rusher from getting to mahomes for the most part. For a back up. ill take it.

an average Erving day. decent at times but with several awful plays and at least one penalty

People want perfection. The online as a whole pass blocked well today. Pat's style of play is going to lead to some hits and sacks.

We're in trouble if Fisher's hurt any significant amount of time.

Because the offense's output was so effected today...

Pretty sure it's the opposite. He's able to avoid hits and sacks that lesser quarterbacks can't.

Because the offense's output was so effected today...Second quarter was awesome. The other three were brutal. So, yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the offense's output was affected.

Definitely exceeded my expectations after a rough start. Would prefer Fisher learn how not to pull his groin at a Friday practice going forward, though.

He does. But he also extends plays forcing guys to block longer.

Fisher will hopefully tape an aspirin to his groin soon

Erving did acquit himself pretty well today... but we’ve seen this movie before, he will look like ass next week

Surely you can tell that they changed the game plan in the second half...They executed the same second half game plan last week against Jacksonville and it worked, for the most part. So I don't know that saying "the game plan changed" is a great justification for the offense's struggles after halftime today. At least not in the context of this discussion. Because my guess is that they'd have been able to run the ball with Fisher on the field. They clearly couldn't today, with Erving in. Which isn't to say he was solely responsible, but I don't think it's a great sign for the unit. Hopefully it goes better next Sunday after a full week of practice, if Fisher in fact exacerbated his injury today.

I think you are blowing any "struggles" waay out of proportion. They didn't need to score so they took the foot of the gas. The running game lacked, but that's an Oakland unit built to stop the run and they were playing a team several scores up.

Yup. To me, it looked like Andy knew that we had the game well in hand and decided just to keep the clock moving. It wasn't a complete shell, but we definitely weren't doing anything creative.

Exactly. I would prefer they play even more conservative 18 points up with 5 minutes to play. We don't need to be going deep to Kelce there. Its a long season.

Mahomes wore out the Raider D with long drives.

Why Not?

He was pretty bad, the whole game from when I was paying attention. Andy’s play calling can make up for weak spots on the line. I’ll watch the all 22 and be able to judge better then

Mahomes sucks. He threw for 10 TDs three 2 weeks last year. Only 7 this year

Surely you can tell that they changed the game plan in the second half...That is the way I saw it.

Andy and Gruden are buddies and its a business. Andy has taken his foot off the gas before. Gruden was running the ball mid way through the 4th and used none of his time outs.

And I'm a very optimistic about the direction of this team, but Cam Erving just needs to be off the field as much as possible, preferably always

I tried to watch a cfl game for the first time the other night. That was wildly confusing, and much like my sex life, lasted just a few minutes.

I watched Chiefs Rewind, and listened to the locked on Chiefs podcast. Everyone, including Reid, was saying the same thing. Erving started out rough, but did fine for the rest of the game. One coach said that he run blocked once on a pass play.

I mentioned that on Friday when it came out that Fisher was hurt. We'll, actually, I think that I was in favor of putting Allen at Guard. But, I guess that the Chiefs preferred to leave the line as intact as possible instead of messing with a second spot. I get that. Continuity on the line is important.

He didn't get Mahomes hurt, so credit to him for that. But the sooner we get our starter back on the field the better.

He's our Fitzpatrick. When it doesn't count, he'll give some serious flashes, but then usually craps the bed when left out there for too long.
