It'll be a tough one, the Ravens are a team on the fringe of an AFC Championship Game, however, I won't bet on Lamar Jackson until he has that Mahomes-like season where he's obviously one of the best QB's in the league. Chiefs 27 Ravens 23

I think it will be a good test for our defense and better gauge where they are as a unit but Chiefs offense is just going overwhelmingly overwhelm the Ravens quote never more

First home game, Lamar on cloud 9, Ravens D ripped up by Murray and the Cards...this totally feels like a game where everyone is on the Ravens and the Chiefs just destroy them.

Chiefs big...

Tough game last year and will be the same this year. Will take a good run defense and a top effort on offense.

I expect the game to be close, can see us being behind in the 4th Q. But.....we aren't losing our home opener, so.....

Ravens haven't played anyone yet.

Mahomes and CO are going to push their shit in, in front of a home crowd.

Miami's defense yesterday allowed 5 scores on 10 drives, and a 6th ended with a missed Field goal. Forced three punts and a fumble. Two 3-and-outs the entire game. New England held the ball for 36:30.

Dolphins are bad. Really, really bad. Like historically bad.

On the road against the Cardinals week one, Matt Stafford went 27-45 for 385 yards and 3 TDs, and the Lions ran for another 116 yards. 477 yards of total offense allowed at a clip of 6 yards/play.

So while Jackson's stats so far look gaudy, I'm not necessarily sure how much they say about his skills as opposed to his opponents' lack of such. Now, obviously, the Chiefs defense hasn't looked that great, but the last time these two teams played, with of course different players and coaches in KC, Jackson went 13-24 for 147 yards and 2 TD, with 67 yards rushing. I'd expect something closer to that than what we've seen the last two weeks. In other words, I'd be a little surprised to see 300 yards passing and 4 TDs. But anything's possible. I do think he'll run more than he did against Miami, because we're always vulnerable to that.

On the flip side, while the Cards couldn't run the ball yesterday, Kyler Murray did have nearly 350 yards passing on 40 attempts. I don't think that bodes real well for them against our offense.

I'm seeing something like 30-20. 35-24. Something like that.

I see another double digit win. It won't be anywhere as close as last year's game.

Have a feeling this one will be stressful. Chiefs won’t pull away as Ravens get many third down conversations and finish drives with points throughout the day. But we have Mahomes.

Lamar Jackson is uniquely difficult to defend and Hollywood Brown is a weapon he didn't have last year.

Should be a tough game. Chiefs 30, Ravens 26

Looks very tough on paper, but I'm not sure that Baltimore's offense (or Jackson) have improved as much as it appears.

As mentioned, Miami is historically bad, and Arizona's defense hasn't impressed either.

Also, Baltimore's defense simply isn't that good right now. Their strength is stopping the run, and that won't go a long way to stopping our offense.

If we take care of the ball, I think we put up 30+ and, in front of a raucous home opener crowd, the D will hold them to 23ish.

I don't see the Ravens running the ball down the throat of the defense for any touchdowns with a single pass on the drive. Chiefs win by double digits.

So last night after the Eagles-Falcons game I decided to lurk around on a couple Baltimore Ravens message boards.

Summary: they have no faith in their defense. Their secondary has been gutted through both trades and injuries, and the result is that they allowed the Cards and Kyler Murray to throw for nearly 350 yards on them yesterday.

"What's Mahomes going to do if Kyler can do that?" was a common question among their fans.

They have no pass rush. Again injuries and losses to free agency/trades has taken its toll on their defensive front-7.

Bottom line: their defense has been giving away chunk plays like candy through the first two weeks of the season.

Ladies and gentlemen, I submit that the Ravens defense is not the defense we faced last year. It is a pale shadow of itself.

Instead, the question has become, can the Ravens new offense, with Lamar Jackson 2.0, compete in a shoot-out with our offense.

Now, the Ravens offense looks much more potent in the passing game than last year's version. There's no question of that. But against what defenses have they proven themselves? Miami and AZ.

Miami is a dumpster fire. Oh, individually they have a nice list of talent, but they're being used in ways that aren't suited to them, and the organization is trying to tank. Plus, Ryan Fitzpatrick.

And the Cards. Kyler is going to be a good rookie QB. He's very elusive, he has a very quick release, combined with great accuracy. He's going to become a good QB in this league, I have no doubt.

However, Kyler, a rookie QB, combined with a rookie HC, combined with the worst offensive line in the NFL, combined with the fact that the best receiver was a 36 yr-old Fitz, no TE, managed to put up nearly 400 yards of offense yesterday.

If you didn't watch the Ravens-Cardinals game, Fitz ran amok in the Ravens' secondary. I mean wide open most of the time.

Maybe I just don't respect the Ravens offense enough right now, or maybe I'm overzealous in my optimism for the Chiefs' offense, but I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb and say that the Chiefs at home are going to roll right over Baltimore.

55-18.

There is no chance they come into our opening home game and pull out a win. No chance.

Score doesn't matter but I suspect the playbook gets opened up more. Same with the D. For the fans.

Baltimore is still unproven given their schedule and all the roster turnover they had.

That Ravens teams is hot right now. But damn it's our home opener, hard to imagine losing the home opener. If there's any team that could do it it's the Ravens though with their run game. Idk man, kinda nervous about this one.

Too bad we couldn't have played the Fins and Cards- we would be Hot.

Mahomes is throwing for over 400 yards a game and our defense just allowed 10 points.
