View Full Version : Chiefs What would a healthy offense have done?

For the first month, it seemed to be business as usual. But at a certain point you’re going to run into a coach and team capable of exploiting key injuries.

Granted, it was more a case of keeping the offense off the field (and watching them collect crucial penalties) than shutting it down. But there’s no doubt that it’s the most we’ve struggled offensively since Mahomes took the reins.

How would they have fared with Hill, Watkins and Fisher? I’m betting a few more TDs and a relatively easy win. Fisher would have slowed Houston, and even if he couldn’t, they’d have eaten them alive with short, crisp routes by Hill and YAC. If they keyed on Hill, Kelce and/or Watkins would have feasted.

There is no “blueprint” to stopping this offense when healthy.

Nothing because it would’ve allowed IND to chew up even more time running the ball down our throats

With just Hill I think we win. With Fisher and Watkins and no Hill I also think we win. With all three I think we blow them out.

Like...what the fuck was Erving even trying to do? He just drops his head and essentially falls forward.

That's as bad a rep as you will ever see because it's as bad a rep as one can possibly imagine. Had we played 10 v 11 it wouldn't have made things any more difficult for Houston there.

I mean WTF was that?!?!

This game would have been a blowout for KC if they were healthy. The colts arent that good of a team.

They were motivated though and playing hard on every snap. You don’t usually see that kind of consistent effort before the playoffs.

Colts were also dealing with multiple injuries, including both starting safeties, all pro starting mlb and starting wide receiver.

We would have won. But we wouldn't have the "come to Jesus" moment we are having now. We learned a tough lesson about what we need to do to beat new England. Being healthy is like putting lipstick on a pig. I don't want an ugly victory vs indy if it exposes the same problems we faced vs NE.

I don't think we come close even with Houston out of the play. 3 Colts were there well short of the first down line.

It seriously looked like our entire team had the flu last night. Except Clark who was clearly trying his best and just fucking sucks.

Will be interesting to see how they bounce back.

It doesn't really matter because the colts defense was beat the fuck up too. Even with our missing players that's no excuse for how we played yesterday.

IT'S WHAT HAPPENED.

The Colts REALLY DID have the ball for 38 minutes.

I don't know why you try to minimize that...it's just a fact.

The numbers don't lie. You do.

I'd cut his ass immediately after the game regardless of depth at the position. He looked absolutely unmotivated out there, and there's multiple free agents out there who are hungry to prove they can play at the NFL level. Mahomes IS the franchise, without him, our offense is pathetic. This offseason, Veach needs to do everything possible to build him a line like Ballard did in Indi.

You DON'T want Rankin anywhere near Mahomes' blind side. Dude is pathetic. Trust me on this. I've seen every professional game that he has ever tried to play.

No, what really happened is we didn't have a resemblance of a drive in the second half and scored no points until under 2:00 left in the game... The D was on the field most of the second half and still gave up only 6 points. If the offense would have had one or two sustained drives time of possession would have been different and/or if we would have actually scored on a possession we would have won...

Mahomes balled as usual. Problem was that receivers kept dropping easy passes. From Kelce, to Williams, Hardman and so on. The McCoy fumble hurt also. The surrounding cast did not do their job. The O line also stunk. And Pat wasn't 100% healthy. He was limping throughout the game. Still played great.
