Does anyone have a line on a good pair of heads shipped to zip 59808 for this truck. Doesn't hurt to try. CP knows everything.
I'm talking cheap. Don't want to pay the going price.

Well Great Googly Moogly !!!
Right after I made this thread, I called the last salvage yard in the area and got a set with only 50,000 miles for $100 each.
Have fun with the thread which is now a dumb ass GIF thread

Why not have your current heads machined/rebuilt?

The moral of the story is....if you want cheap head, go down to your local salvage yard first.

valve seat issues?
Yes , the exhaust valves were sunk in bad. Would have costed me around $400 to rework the heads. seats, guides, valves, Had water in 2 cylinders when I pulled them off I could not see failure in the gasket, so I think the water came in from the valves or even though I couldn't see any cracks , they may have been.

Where would water get in through the valves?

I don't know for sure, I talked to two machinists about it. One said something about the valves wear in enough that it gets cracks under it. I don't understand for sure what he meant.
It could have been the gaskets, but I just couldn't see the evidence on the gaskets.
