Anybody concerned that he could make the Donkeys formidable again?

I’m a KU fan and never watched him in college, but highlights are actually pretty impressive. Athletic, elusive and solid arm talent. Seems very accurate. Then again, highlights can be misleading.

Lockweiler?? Did Failway draft him? If so, he sucks. But he’s probably tall....

QB's are so hit and miss. God Bless my favorite NFL franchise the Kansas City Chiefs of Kansas City Missouri for drafting Patrick Mahomes II.

Matt Cassel had a good highlight tape too.

The stats are nothing special, other than a good TD total one year.

What are his weaknesses?

Situation is everything for these kids.

I'd be worried about Lock if he had Sean Payton or McVay, or some other 'QB guru' to coach him. As it is, he has zero chance.

I think his ceiling would be like...Goff. I think he has no chance whatsoever of reaching it before he's ruined. He'll be David Carr.

By the way, I'm not super impressed by Goff. I think McVay has coached him up about as well as it can be done.

I think David Carr is a perfect example of a guy that had talent but was drafted into a fucked up situation and got ruined.

Elway drafted Lock for one reason.

That reason is so that he can continue to claim title as to the best QB Denver ever had.

He knows what he's doing.

Lock has a lot of physical talent. He’s got the arm strength and general athleticism (could have been a high major D1 player in basketball, too, had that been his focus) to be a really good QB.

But he needs to be coached well and in the right situation. I can’t see that being Vic Fangio and the Broncos. Unless he lands somewhere else or they bring in a really good QB guy, I don’t see it happening.

He screwed that up as soon as he signed Manningstein on HGH.

If the preseason thing is any indication then no.

He's lacking the most difficult thing (imo) to teach, natural accuracy.

Booger is still the best QB to come out of MU.

I think probably Steve Pisarkiewicz was next best. Sad huh.

Aside from Flacco, the Broncos have three QBs who have experienced a total of zero NFL regular season snaps.

And you want to discuss whether that team might prove formidable?

Formidable? I don't even think he can make them watchable.

If he was worth a shit elway would bring him back from IR. Instead they are bringing rypian in. Elway is an idiot so every qb he drafts will suck, just watch.

I dont see it panning out in Denver. Elway has even said Lock isnt ready and they dont plan on getting him on the field this year. Maybe he'll catch on some where else in a few years, but I doubt that too.

He's a complete turd. Went from one loser to another and will fail miserably in the NFL.

Horseface cant have TWO failed QBs in one season....and another failed HC.

Stashing Lock sells hope....next off-season will be all about the improved OL and how their defense can win it all with just a little improvement in the offense.

Its been the same mantra since HGH split...

The funniest part is 3 wins would have given them the #1 pick last year....it'll get you around #5 next year. The top QBs will be gone...Redskins will auction off to the highest bidder.

Miami, Bengals and Washington's pick will take the top 3.

Here's to a lost season for a LT...who will be replacing another blown 1st round LT.

We love you, Horseface!!

You could have had Bush and Quenton Nelson....

At least he'll get a chance to fail miserably in the NFL.

The last KUnt QB taken was a 7th rounder in 1986. I already forgot his name. Like it matters.

I'm just as excited as you are that we'll get to watch him crumble. Will be a joy to watch Elway strike out yet again.

Yeah, stashing Lock buys Elway some time, an extra year at least.

Drew Lock is completely screwed. Fangio can't help him become a NFL QB. Flacco won't help him, because, "it's not my job." It's fairly obvious at this point that the Broncos OC isn't going to be any help.

I love Elway.

He looked...OK. He didn't make a bunch of stupid mistakes, but he was only moderately accurate. He's got potential, but I'm not shaking in my boots about him yet.

He had some nice throws... avoided being sacked, had the one INT. Overall he was decent. Jury is still out, need to see long drives.
