If you have Android, install Firefox, and then install the Ublock Origins add-on extension to Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/ublock-origin/). It will prevent these ads.

uBlock Origin is also available on Chrome, as is Privacy Badger.


NoScript is not available on Chrome, but you can disable scripts by default and then whitelist specific sites. That's what I did until moving to Firefox a few weeks ago. It's a little bit extra PITA, but worth it.

Also, for those with rooted Android phones, AdAway is fantastic. Very easy to sync blacklists between phone and pi-hole.

I get it, but my patience is apparently growing thin these days. Not to single you out, but even you just posted "it's still broken" when the fix was posted right above yours.

I don't think people really appreciate the amount of time it takes to troubleshoot stuff like this. I didn't have anything to do with this one (other than figuring out it was a cookie thing to get the fix to take), but Kyle probably spent 2-3 hours dealing with it at a minimum. It's just very irksome when you spend hours troubleshooting something and come here to see people bitching about it who haven't even taken the 30 seconds to read the thread rather than just spouting off about it.

(Not intending to single you out - there are dozens of others in here who are worse. You just happen to be an easy example.)
