They played great today and stepped up to force a three and out to get the ball back for the offense at the end of the game.

We bash them when they play like crap, time to give them credit for playing well.

The last two stops they got were the type of stops they didn't get last year. Huge statement that they aren't the same unit that got continuously gashed last year.

Yes. They look much better than they did to start the season. If we can just get healthy, this team can roll. 13-3 is very possible.

It takes a little time to turnaround a shitty defense. They still have their mental hiccups but man they d-line looked awesome!

Yep.

Needed stops on the last two drives...Defense got it done and gave us a chance to tie and win.

This was a big win for the defense.

Can’t remember the last time we got a key defensive stop in the waning minutes of regulation. Happy to see that trend broken today.

Can you imagine the rest of the d gets healthy, the oline gets healthy, and we get the mvp back?

Dalvin Cook is a top 3 RB in this league.

We contained him about as well as a team can hope for.

Yeah, the D was certainly helped out by Cousins playing like utter crap, but the point is they came to play when it mattered. That's something I didn't see from last year's D at all.

We're definitely improved.

Not just one...but two back to back. Got the three and out so we could go tie...and then came right back and did it again.

Very impressive. Hopefully they keep improving.

I feel like part of the reason Cousins played like crap was that he was feeling pressure and hurrying. While we were not successfully at sacking him and hitting him a lot...we managed to put enough pressure on him to rush his throws..and it helped a lot.

I just hope the pole smokers don't forget how to play when Mahomes comes back.

Nnadi balling. Saunders balling. Ward balling. Wilson balling. Two of the guys I've had no patience for - Hitchens and Ragland - balling. So nice to see the turnaround.

I’m loving that D line right about now, as a unit they’ve got beef AND athleticism

Chris Jones was balling too. It was great to see.

I can't remember the last time the defense had two 3 and out series back to back to end a game like that.

Yes. Spagnuolo said it would take about 8 weeks for the defense to get. Looks like he was prescient.

When is the last time we made a team punt 8 times?

Agreed. There was a pass by Cousins that was off the mark that Johnson was giving him crap for, but he failed to realize that pressure, I think by Tanoh, was the reason the throw was off.

I can really see this defense giving New England problems. Especially if they’re shutting the run down.

When was the last time our defense came through in the clutch. Been a while. Great job at the LOS today.

The D needed a couple of good games put together to develop some confidence and buy into the system that Spags is installing. When the D starts believing in this system and that it can be good and they start getting some results like they have been the sky is the limit.

They contained the NFLs leading rusher and kept Minnesota well below their season average for rushing. They also held Diggs to one catch for like four yards. Combine that with the stops when they needed to while not at full strength says a ton.
