Beat the Faiders after the BYE and the Division is ours, for the fourth year in a row. Chiefs' divisional record the past 27 games is 24-3. That level of dominance is insane in today's competitive NFL.

Great.

The division is old news though. It’s time to take the next step and win the AFC.

Chiefs need to beat the brakes off of Oakland. Let Carr and Gruden know who’s boss.
Andy needs to focus up and get his bye week mojo locked and loaded.

Maybe in part due to this dominance, my hate of the division rivals has dipped a hair as our goals have gone beyond the division. Perhaps the hate hasn't dipped but my attention just changed focus. But damn the Raiders hype has brought it all back quite quick.

Like this is a surprise. We had the division before the season started.

Great.

The division really isn’t old news though. Until Reid, we never consistently won the division. This is the real reason for our lack of postseason success. We haven’t reliably positioned ourselves as a top 4 seed in the playoffs.

For perspective, if we win the West this year then a third of our Division titles will have come under Reid.

That's fucking unreal in your own division. :thumb:

I wonder where the mighty Pats are with much, much weaker teams.

Step 1. Win your division

Step 2. Win every game in the playoffs

Focus on #1 and complete. Then start working on #2.

Kansas City is 24-3 against divisional foes since 2015, marking the most victories for any team against their division in that span. New England is the next closest on that list with a 23-5 record against the AFC East in that same timeframe.

The Chiefs are averaging 28.9 points-per-game in those contests while forcing 60 turnovers, the most of any team vs. their own division.

Twice the AFCW division has been won by a single team 5 years in a row. The Raiders did it during the 1972-76 seasons and the Broncos achieved it just recently from 2011-15.
I think the Chiefs will be the third team to win the division 5 years straight. It's pretty much a lock now that we win it this year which makes it 4 straight. I looked at next season's opponents and damn, we have such an easy schedule.

Would be nice to win the SB while doing it, like the other two teams did.

Yet we continually bitch about the Pats and the AFC east

So Patriots are a better team outside thier division than the Chiefs, OK got it!

No Superbowl appearances since the end of the 69 season. Division titles mean nothing in the grand scheme.

Go get that Superbowl Pat!!!

AFCW is and has been bounds and leaps a more superior division than the AFCE. Dominating in a historically tough division is no easy task. I agree that it's all meaningless if we don't reach at least a couple of Super Bowls. Still, it shows that the team has been a successful franchise in terms of competing every season.
I sure as hell rather root for this team than a loser franchise like the Browns or the Jets. We should never underestimate the fact and take for granted that some franchises have been shitty for eternity.

Last week most of the ex-jocks on NFL Network picked the faderz to beat the Jets and ultimately win the division. Maybe they thought that would create some drama. Jets were my favorite active team yesterday.

If we win the rest of our division games this year, we all but lock up the west.

We could lose to New England and Cleveland and as long as the turds racked up just one more loss against anybody not including us, we’d have it
