My wife wants a very bright flashlight to cut through the night when coyotes, skunks, owls, and raccoons come around.

Needs to have a maximum range with a concentrated beam. Rechargeable is preferred, and budget max is $150-200. Cheaper is okay as long as quality is there.

Let the fleshlight jokes begin!

I have a couple of flashlights that don't need batteries. One of them has a system that charges when you vigorously shake it for a (long) while, and the other has both a hand crank and a solar cell.

They don't meet your performance requirements at all, but they make me very confident that I can survive an apocalypse.

I have a Stanley Fat Max spotlight that never disappoints. It lights shit up. Great coverage too at about a 1/4 mile.

We had one of these when I was a kid in the 80s. It plugs directly into the wall to recharge. I think it will fulfill your needs. It's definitely worth a look.

Fenix PD36R 1600 Lumen Type-C USB Rechargeable EDC Tactical Flashlight, about $100.

Very good general purpose/tactical style light. Solid construction, very bright (300+ yards), and some nice features, like the battery health light.

I think those were mandated by law in the 80s.

You know if you had that Tesla cyber truck you wouldn't need things like this. It will do everything I learned from CP.
