Damn it why couldn’t they do this last year so we could’ve hired him as our DC?

Oh well Spags will do.

I know their owner wants to make wholesale changes, and losing to the Redskins is pretty much rock bottom, but it seems like he earned the right to finish the season given his history with the franchise.

I knew that he was on the hotseat, but thought that he would survive the last 4 weeks based on how long he's been there and the fact that he took them to the Superbowl. I bet that he's hired for another head coaching job this off-season.

Given his history with Andy, any chance we and he would be open to bringing him in as a special assistant? Kind of like Childress was used?

Ain't no shit there.

I'd have LOVED to have brought the guy in as DC. Dude can coach the shit out of a defense.

For four games and the playoffs? Who knows.

And as soon as the regular season is over.....he’s going to be getting interviews.

If I’m the Cowboys...I fire Garrett and bring in Rivera as the HC.

If they fire Ron Rivera and keep Cam Newton, I'm going to laugh my ass off.

The browns should fire Kitchens today and hire Rivera.

There’s worse coaches in the league than Riverboat Ron.

nah because he'll probably still get another HC job, unless he doesn't want that.

Why? Spags' defense is playing its best football of the season and Ron Rivera's defense was just gashed for 248 rushing yards and 8.3 YPC by the pathetic Deadskins.

Would have been nice, but I doubt he'll be a DC anyway. He'll get another HC job.

He has a lot of wins as a HC already and has been to a Super Bowl already. Hell, we hired the offensive version of RR like 7 years ago, and he was out of work for less than a week.

RR will be a HC next year for sure.

Ron Rivera was a good defensive coach whose scheme no longer worked against Brees, Ryan, and even Winston.

He tried to change this year but it didn't work.

Spags was also a guy whose scheme got dated. The good news is that Spags scheme works well again in the NFL and we are in good hands against NE and Baltimore.

NFL works in cycles.
