View Full Version : Poop How screwed are the Rams?

Missing the playoffs this year, Ramsey is gonna dip, almost no draft picks for the next 3 years and limited salary cap due to expensive contracts for average players (Higbee, Goff, etc.)

They are a cautionary tale in why you don't just GO ALL IN.

Still will be better than the Bills for the foreseeable future.

No they won't.

Buffalo's offensive line is horrendous. A lot of the problems with Allen are related to that.

If they fix their line problems, they'll be a play-off team for quite a while.

If the Patriots are in decline as they appear, Buffalo looks poised to take the division as far as I can see.

The Rams have few picks and are about to be in cap hell more than likely.

I'd much rather bet on the Bills going forward.

McVay was lauded as this young mature prodigy who would have the Rams in contention for many years.

Well he looks like a young immature coach with his horrible trades of recent with Marcus Peters and Jalen Ramsey.

He only came to fame bc he copied Andy Reid’s play designs a week after he used them. Of course it’s what you’re supposed to do as a coach, but goddamn he shouldn’t get credit for that.

tyecopeland
12-22-2019, 10:47 AM
They are actually okay. They've got 40 some players under contract for next year already and have 24 mil in expected cap space. That includes goff and his 36 mil cap hit and gurley 17 mil cap hit.

They can get out from Goff after next year and save a bunch of coin which I kinda expect them to do if they can get any draft picks back and draft a QB.

The fact that he signed off on paying Goff is a huge red flag for me.

I can’t fault him too much for that. It’s an incredibly tough position to be in when your QB is just good enough to be decent but you don’t have the draft capital to get someone.

The real problem was their incessant need to go all in. I can’t blame them too much for Marcus Peters bc they did get to the Super Bowl, albeit despite him, but what has really fucked that franchise isn’t the Goff deal, it was the Ramsey deal.

The best option for their situation is to hold onto Goff until a viable option is available, like we did with Alex Smith. The problem is they don’t have any draft capital for the next 2 years so they’re fucked.

That’s why I am so glad Veach has been more patient as of late. Yes he traded a lot for Clark, but we could afford to getting a 2nd back for Peters and Ford.

They’re in a world of trouble for the next 3 years and I think McVay could be on the hot seat soon.

Hopefully that day comes for awhile bc I would absolutely take McVay to replace Andy when the time comes. He’s a good coach, but he’s still learning to correct his flaws.

Not only possible, but likely!

Los Angeles is a city full of transplants, and most of those people moved here and remained loyal to their hometown team.

That being said, the Rams DO have a following here. But frankly, I look at those fans as bandwagoners, because I never used to see people in Rams attire until they moved here, despite the franchise history in the city. It is what it is.

They’re fucked next year because Whitworth is probably going to retire creating a huge hole at LT on an already shit OL. Going to be tough to fix that in one year when you don’t have a 1st.

I'm amused at the idea of rabble calling someone out for being a bad poster.

You and SAUTO can get back to your interracial homosexual porn bukkake at any time.

I use to be a Rams fan. I wish I'd always been a Chiefs fan. With that said; I despise that owner and city and dont miss the Rams at all. Go Chiefs!!

All it takes is the Chargers to draft a QB and get it right and they can be in the playoffs via the wildcard for years to come, of course losing the division to Mahomes for his entire career

The Chargers just managed to go an entire decade with no division titles and only two playoff appearances with Rivers as their QB. The chances of John Spanos ever drafting a QB even half as good as Rivers are slim to none, and even if he somehow flukes his way into finding one in the draft, they'll still underachieve.

Only an ownership change can stop that franchise from being hopeless. Preferably a new owner who's willing to bring the team back to San Diego where it belongs.

Self inflicted. They went all in for 2018 and lost, now they are paying the price. I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Yup, close but no cigar.
