Rivers last game as a Charger?
Rivers last game at Arrowhead ever?
Rivers last game ever?

Are the Chargers coming to do battle or lay down?

Thoughts?

Chargers are done. Rivers is done. Would be surprised if he plays the whole game. And not long after Rivers goes out, probably Pat comes out, especially if we already have a two-score lead.

Wow. What a way to go out. I know I'm in the minority here regarding Rivers...I just don't hate the guy. I hope he sails off into the sunset. He had a great career (numbers-wise anyway) and he's not been injured horribly. Walk away Phillip. Go make more babies with your wife.

Yes I believe it is.

Rivers is certainly capable of beating us. He came very close to doing it the first game this year.

ROFL

Throwing 3 wounded duck interceptions is "close" to beating us?

That was also on a shitty Mexican field a mile and a half in the air.

This is at Arrowhead, where Rivers has had little success.

Rivers his done. I've never seen the body language from him like i've seen this year. He looks defeated. And it takes everything he's got in his body to throw a decent ball. And he knows it too.

Have you ever been right this year? Do these ideas come from any kind of analysis/data/evidence or do you just throw chicken blood against the wall and read the "signs?" Asking for a friend . . .

Can't wait to see Rivers last game at Arrowhead.

I'm sure he will throw some amazing touchdowns and some amazing picks.

Hope he just slings it all over the yard.

Would love to see one last Mahomes vs Rivers battle where they both throw for over 350 with 4 TDs a piece . Would be an epic send off.

Why Not?

Ha! Did you see their “effort” yesterday? I’ll be disappointed if they score a single touchdown. If Pat and company play the whole game, 49-3 is a real possibility.

I want Midnight Moore in the game so Arrowhead can give him a standing ovation.

Were I the Chiefs staff, I'd want to give the fans a chance to give our starters a proper send-off into the post-season, knowing that the fans probably won't get more than a game to see them in Arrowhead. So early exits for many of our starters is probably already planned, especially if we're ahead by more than 3 scores halfway through the 3rd. If the Chargers sit Rivers early to take a look at their other QBs, it could happen earlier.

Andy should treat this as a bye week and rest the starters.

The Faketriots are not losing to Miami in Fatsboro.

The only other thing to play for is the 3 vs 4 seed, but is that worth risking potential injuries?

The 6 seed is going to a much easier game than Buffalo I believe. Unless it’s Tennessee, which would be a push. But then I’d still rather play NE in R2 I think.

This is a hot team. I’d say give ‘em a half and check the scoreboards from there.

Here's an odd bit of trivia. The Chargers are 5-10, but they have a positive point differential. They've scored 316 points and given up 314 for a +2 differential.

That's got to be really rare for a 5-10 team. As context, the other 5-10 teams are Jacksonville (-115 point differential) and Carolina (-98 point differential). The Cardinals are 5-9-1 and are at -74 points. There are four teams at 6-9, and their differentials are Atlanta (-24), Denver (-35), Cleveland (-48), and the Jets (-90).

Wow. That’s nuts. Just glanced at their schedule this year. Nearly every game they played was competitive and close. They got blown out only once by the Vikings. And they curb stomped the Packers.

It appears they are the best bad team in the NFL

The Chargers are always doing shit like that, like the year they had the number 1 offense and defense and still managed to miss the playoffs. They give new meaning to the word inept.

Division games are always tough. Chargers have the defensive players that can give the Chiefs offensive line trouble. The Chiefs defense has feasted on poor teams. This should be a good test and get our team primed for the playoffs.

Any given Sunday. There are no free games. Ask the Texans when they played the Broncos. Stay healthy and play smart, boys.

I expect the Chargers to start their 2nd string QB. Then after the Chiefs are up by 35, Rivers comes in to throw 3 TD's in garbage time to make the score closer

If you're the Chargers you would draft a QB for the future, have Rivers tutor him and next first half of the year would be River's last. If he wasn't up for it, he would be gone.

If they keep Rivers for the full year next year, they are dumber than the Raiders.
