This 100%...

Kelce - 97 Rec, 1229 Yds, 12.7 Avg, 5 TD
Kitlle - 85 Rec, 1053 Yds, 12.4 Avg, 5 TD

I don't understand the general, consensus fascination, outside of KC fans, with undermining Kelce and his accomplishments/greatness.

Yep. Given all the injury problems with key players this year, they are fortunate to be pretty healthy right now. Juan's injury sucks, but hopefully will not cost them.

I wouldn't call it an "absolute joke," but Kelce has definitely been insanely good this year. He's just done it slowly and steadily rather than through a smaller number of flashy plays.

Kelce: 1229 yards, 5 TDs
Kittle: 1053 yards, 5 TDs

Kelce

97 rec, 1,229 yards, 12.7 avg, long 41, 5 TD.

Kittle

85 rec,1053 yards, 12.4 avg, long 61, 5 TD

Kelce was 12/176 better than Kittle.

Kittle's beast mode play against New Orleans where he dragged multiple guys while being facemasked to put them in position to win that insanely high scoring game is likely what put him over the top.

Kittle is one of the new up-and-coming superstars that folks are falling in love with. Of course he'll be overvalued above the already established player(s).

Absolute joke that Kittle got it over Kelce.

Their numbers are virtually identical on a per-game basis, Kittle played two fewer games.

The two are very close to one another, it's not an "absolute joke". It's a coin flip.

They're both awesome. Could be argued either way. Kittle is the most important player on the 49ers offense, and arguably the only other player in the entire division more important than him is Russell Wilson.

Let me guess. Lamar in as the QB?

Good job on Lamar. Good job staying healthy. Good job taking care of the football. Good job improving significantly as a passer from year 1 to 2. Good job on those impressive stats.

He’s not better than Patrick Mahomes. End of story.

1st team - Lamar Jackson

Got no problem with that. They both had great years.

I think it's incredible that Kelce posted his numbers without Pat for three games.

Or to put it in another way, Kelce continued to post good stats with a HS football coach as his QB for 3 games.

But I get the Kittle thing. He did have a great season, on a team with a great record, in a high-profile market.

The argument I've been seeing for Kittle over Kelce is less games and similar production means you should be voted in over others who played more snaps/games. Logic doesn't work out for one position and not another.

LJ: Games - 15, C% - 66.1 Yds - 3,127, TD - 36, INT - 6, PR - 113.3
RW: Games - 16, C% - 66.1, Yds - 4,110, TD - 31, INT - 5, PR - 106.3
PM2: Games - 13, C% - 65.9, Yds - 4,031, TD - 26, INT - 5, PR - 105.3

People in here are really butthurt about Kittle over Kelce.

Of course Kelce's got better volume stats, he's got nearly 30 more targets than Kittle and he's catching passes from the GOAT.

Kelce appears to be more durable while Kittle's the better blocker. You can't go wrong either way.

Absolute joke that Kittle got it over Kelce.

No it's not. Kittle is where Kelce was a couple of years ago when everyone was drooling over Kelce as opposed to Gronk. Kittle and the defense are why the Niners have a 1st rd bye.

Kittle is faster, quicker, and actually blocks better than Kelce. And both are good blockers. Both have equal hands however Kelce has more drops with a much better QB throwing to him. Besides who cares what the sports press thinks. They just take a "popular flavor of the day" approach as does the entertainment press in general to keep things fresh and forward.

The AP is quickly becoming the sham the Pro Bowl's been for years.

Deandre Hopkins was 1st team this season, Frank Clark got 1 vote as an interior DL, some fucking dumbshit gave Edelman a vote at WR.

They've got designations for CB, S and "defensive back". Similarly, they've got the flex position on offense.

4-3 OLBs have been snubbed for years.

The whole system needs an overhaul.
