yeah, remember when we used to think like that?

"We're so balanced, our defense is great, we have a great running game, we can pass it a little too-look at our all-world TE, we're just too balanced to be beaten."

And then some team with an elite QB would smoke us.

I guess for most of the NFL, they still have to play that psychological game.

The reality is, as long as KC doesn't shit down their legs like they did in the first quarter against Houston, none of these remaining teams stand a chance.

It's always possible that we'll just fuck it up, but short of that, Mahomes and his weapons are just too damned good paired with a pretty good defense.

The 9ers do scare me in that they have a legit front 7. Like that DL could go all New York Giants of 07 and just wreck shit if they get going.

The 9ers are really freakin good. They can maul people in the run game and play defense.

It’s nothing we haven’t dealt with (Chargers).

Unlike the Chargers, the 49ers don’t have the secondary to hang. Remember Sherman trying to cover Tyreek last year?

One other thing about the 49ers.

They should’ve been swept by the Seahawks. Wilson alone made the Seahawks look like the better team in those 2 games.

The Chiefs have a better version of Wilson, a better OL, and a much better overall team around him.

49ers have some really creative run concepts and Shanahan does a great job of building on those to find space and easy throws for Garapollo.

I'd say the 49ers are the Chargers + a really difficult offense to diagnose and deal with. They'd present a pretty major challenge, IMO.

Maybe I’m not giving them enough credit, but like I said in the post above yours, after watching Wilson and the Seahawks play them tough in both games (should’ve won both as well), I just think the Mahomes factor along with having a better team around him than Wilson does will be too much.

The 9er front 7 is better than those Charger teams. They have 5 first rounders on it and they can really get after it.

Plus with their LB'ers, they can give Kelce some fits.

They're a really good modern day defense, they're fast and smart.

It's a division game. Those are always weird and that's just the type of game the Seahawks play.

The 9ers are a really tough out this year. For some reason I've watched a lot of them and listen to Middlekauf and Haberman talk about them a lot. They're a tough out.

I'd definitely rather see the Pack in the SB.

I don’t really care if it’s a division game. It was clear that the reason the Seahawks almost swept them was Wilson. They had no business even being in the 2nd game after all those injuries. Same reason they lost to the Ravens too.

We are like the Seahawks on steroids. I’m not scared of the Jimmy G led 49ers. I’d be more scared of Rodgers.

Thought we could have a place to discuss this instead of the mega threads etc.

Here's one showing how honey badger is just like a chicken with his head cut off. Pretty hella play.

My God, that’s just an incredible triple play

Veach knocked it into the upper deck with this guy

I don’t really care if it’s a division game. It was clear that the reason the Seahawks almost swept them was Wilson.

We are like the Seahawks on steroids. I’m not scared of the Jimmy G led 49ers. I’d be more scared of Rodgers.

Of course I watched both games.

Division games are rarely blowouts when both teams are atleast respectable. Seattle isn't ultra talented but they're always in games because of Russ. He's a magician.

The 9ers just present a tough ass test. They can be beat, sure. But that front could really give our OL issues and their offense is great at what we struggle to stop.

Packers have a terrible defense and Rodgers is more like a game manager nowadays. I’d much rather face the Packers. 49ers have the best defense in the NFL and have a really good running game

That’s another thing. We struggle to stop backs like Ingram and Henry. The 49ers don’t have a guy like that.

With Shanahan's scheme, their backs are really good though. Mostert and Coleman with some Breida sprinkled in. Breida is a bit too fumble prone I think though.

But more so with the scheme and the OL. Using the fullback and Tight end, they get after it.

I'm not saying the Chiefs couldn't beat them because of course they could, but I won't wave it off as an easy chiefs win.

By no means am I saying it would be easy.

Just giving my reasoning as to why they don’t scare me either.

Chiefs 9ers would be a hell of a game for sure. I don't know what to think of the Packers, but if you get prime Rodgers, yeah, I'd take my chances with Jimmy G.

Packers defense any good? I didn’t get to see them play this year. Didn’t we play them pretty close with Matty at QB

There back end is terrible. Have a decent pass rush in the Smith bro’s. They are average at best. Rodgers is a game manager now. But Aaron Jones scares me

They have a really good pass rush, but outside of that they’re nothing spectacular and awful against the run. They have young talent in the secondary, but they don’t match up that well with us there.

yeah, remember when we used to think like that?

"We're so balanced, our defense is great, we have a great running game, we can pass it a little too-look at our all-world TE, we're just too balanced to be beaten."

And then some team with an elite QB would smoke us.

I guess for most of the NFL, they still have to play that psychological game.

The reality is, as long as KC doesn't shit down their legs like they did in the first quarter against Houston, none of these remaining teams stand a chance.

It's always possible that we'll just **** it up, but short of that, Mahomes and his weapons are just too damned good paired with a pretty good defense.

I agree, the Chiefs “A game” is stronger than any of the Final 4 teams. But we have seen them crap their pants numerous times this season. Only positive to this is they have seen plenty of adversity. They used those earlier experiences to help them in the 24-0 game last weekend. I just hope they can show up focused and ready to play with no “full retard” moments the rest of the way.

Yep ,thank goodness it’s at home. Hope they come out firing in all three phases, no week off so shouldn’t be any rust or what ever it was last week

Would rather play GB every time over SF.

We do not match up well with SF’s offense and they’re loaded on defense. Also don’t have a rookie HC.

On paper, GB is the weaker team. SF has a better defense front to back, better and more offensive weapons, and a more seasoned coach.

I would worry if we got GB because Aaron Rodgers. Who can do Mahomesian things. Especially at the end of games.

But this year, I think I'd still rather go against GB. If they had another offensive weapon, and a better secondary, I'd probably lean the other way.

We match up well against any average to below average QB defensively.

Pump the brakes just a little. They have to beat the Tits before they get to this point. I realize they should beat the Tits but they did beat NE and Baltimore to get to the AFCCG. Worry about this week first.

We’re not the players. We can look ahead all we want. We all understand that we could still lose this week.
