I'll admit I laughed at his "phone call" as Richard's dad. But his performance in that was indicative of how every coastal media elite views Kansas City and the midwest in general.

That's actually not even that bad. Richard's dad really does sound like that, and he really is a country bumpkin.

Grew up on a farm rural outside Fort Scott, KS, where his parents still live. Call him and leave messages, talking about what the cows or dogs did that week, or what roadkill they found on the way home.
