He will be released after the SB. I think he'd be a great addition for a year.

Absolutely. He says he'll only play in the right condition. I think this would be it.

He's going to be the next Romo-type color guy. He's better than Aikman and has done like 2 games.

Well , just think if Travis was to suffer an injury . he'd really help fill the spot. Other than that having two great Te's on the field would be awesome.

why the hell would he do that?

Chris Meck

man, he could come here and be TE2 with Kelce. Limit the snaps, stay healthy, help the team in his packages, and pick up a ring.

Much like the Pats did for a decade plus, some of these old guys will come for one last hurrah.

Why would we want an injury prone, over priced, over the hill TE? He's not what he once was everyone.... We need to stay younger and cheaper, not older and more expensive.

If hes happy in a limited role, sure. He and Kelce would beast out in this offense. Kelce in the slot and Olsen at TE to have both on the field outside of a jumbo package.

1. You dont know his price.

2. Second TE limits wear and tear.

3. Olsen is still better than most TEs in the league.

KC would be utterly foolish to pass on him if he's down to be a team player.

He was all over the Chiefs nuts in his interview from earlier today, one of the few guys i've seen pick us to win. Also said Kelce is better than Kittle and Tony G was the best TE ever.

In a heartbeat !! Can you imagine Olson and Kelce in the red zone along with our other weapons ??

I think price is way down the list IF he wants a SB ring.;)

he'd be a good fit for a backup TE.

Man if he wants to play here on a team friendly deal, oh hell yeah!

The deal has to be right. TE2 would limit his snaps and keep him healthier and fresher.

It would also give us some very nice Kelce insurance.

But the deal has to be very team friendly.

Anything is better than we have. We have some of the worst back up TE in football.

If KC and Greg Olsen's agent could work out a KC team friendly deal, I think it would be great.

Just this year, Greg had 52 catches, 597 yards, and 2 TDs.

He will be 35 years old for next season but when he left University of Miami in 2007, he measured 6-5 7/8, 254 lbs, 10 1/2" hands, and could run a 4.51 40. In Olsen's NFL career, he has 718 catches, 8,444 yards, and 59 TDs.

He would be another Red Zone target and would create another matchup problem for defenses.

Travis Kelce is absolutely great, but Greg Olsen with 13 years in the NFL, might be able to teach Travis something extra that would help KC in the years to come.

The business at hand is winning the Super Bowl but, "Hell Yes", let's keep this baby rolling!

I'm kind of intrigued - run a lot of 12 personnel - something defenses aren't prepared for. Like that one year Gronk and Hernandez dominated in NE.

Pretty much this. The most dominant the Patriots ever were was when they had both Hernandez and Gronk on the field at the same time.

Not saying Olsen is Hernandez, but to have a savvy veteran high-performance TE on the field with Kelce, plus Hill and Watkins would be the nightmare of nightmares for any defense. And in the RZ it would be as automatic as the sun rising in the east.

Or just draft the latest Iowa TE.

Olsen wouldn't be expensive; he'd only want to play in a few places/situations. I would expect this would be one of them.

It'd be perfect, he could be a role player, limit snaps, be TE2, get a ring.

Think of him as a Suggs type signing on offense. Still got a little in the tank, but no longer expensive.

I haven't seen a mock that has a TE going in the 1st round so we could possibly get the best one available. I'd still bring in Olsen for a year.

you people think every free agent should be a Chief. .

we have the best TE in the game and a competent young TE2. .

why would we need Olsen?

To Brady's a FA and I don't think he should be a Chief.

veteran role players on their last contract are a nice way to fill out a roster in non-critical positions.

Just signed a 1-year deal with Seattle for $7M.

Could be a really good move for that team.

$5.5 million in guaranteed money.

Really money that KC can not afford right now.

Seattle will have Greg Olsen, Jacob Hollister, and Will Dissly at TE. Probably Ed Dickson will be gone. He was a good backup TE...a few years ago, but can't stay healthy.
