Game Managers get you 20 points and hope. Franchise QBs end your soul and take home trophies.

I don't think you'll ever see a replay where PM is closing his eyes while throwing the ball like Jimmy G!

What Mahomes did tonight was exactly what history has proven.

21 points in 8 mins to end a game. Stuff of legends.

Mahomes had a ROUGH third quarter, but was able to just put it behind him like it didn't matter and made some plays in the fourth that only he can make. Niners defense made it tough - they were good this game for three quarters.

That's now 10 games where they have been down 10+ points in his NFL career. They have clawed their way into the 4th quarter lead in 9 out of 10 games. That's amazing, might even be unprecedented by any other NFL QB at this stage of their career.

We know another thing that's unprecedented: 3 straight double digit comeback victories in a single playoff run. Never happened before.

I remember for 17 years on Chiefsplanet the constant drumbeat about needing a franchise quarterback. We were all right, of course. But to get the most franchise of franchise quarterbacks is a dream.

damn skippy!

No matter what happens over the next 15-20 years that Patrick Mahomes is our quarterback, he's already a first ballot hall of famer!

And this new era is just starting.
Year 2. That's unreal.

It is also sweet that for many of the last 30 years we have had 49er retread QBs. It is good to pay them back for the mediocrity they sent us to crush our hope for so long.

Been saying it last two weeks. The 49ers weren't going to beat us with GQ Alex Smith.

I'm curious about the difference in some people where they perform better under pressure. Some people have it and some people don't. And for however good Patrick Mahomes II is, he gets even better in the most critical moments. It's incredible.

Yep.

We beat a hot Alex Smith tonight.

We beat a bad Alex Smith impression tonight.

fixed your post.

Smith might've been able to pull this out.

he wouldn't have thrown those picks.

He would've hit a few more short ones.

That might have been enough to keep the ball away from Mahomes JUST ENOUGH to win.

Hey Fuckass, you have some crow to eat on Reid. :D.

I’m all aboard what you’re selling tonight.

Yep.

We beat a hot Alex Smith tonight.

Maybe. The Alex that played that Indy concussion debacle bests us tonight.

When shit got hairy our guy made plays. Their guy bombed them. He looked good when things were rolling smooth, but you could tell he tightened up and went off the rails.

Mahomes man, he’s something else.

Mahomes is a legend.

And he’s started 36 games.

Buckle up guys. We’re all passengers on the insane ride that is gonna be this kid’s career. No doubt he’ll be on the field as one of the greatest QB’s ever at the 150th anniversary celebration.
