They overturned that catch by Tyreek. 3rd and 15...then Mahomes drops back and uncorks that 44 yarder to Tyreek.

That's the moment the momentum shifted, the tide turned...I'll never forget it.

My loudest volume of the game may have been that 44 yard catch. But the two Damien Williams touchdowns may have been tied with it.

Once KC speed things up on offense mid 4th quarter. I thought the 9er D really struggled.

From 7:10 to 1:30 in the 4th....just 5:40 minutes of unparalleled clutch performance on both sides of the ball.

Looking back at this moment is what convinced me that Mahomes was the worthy MVP. Clutch, game changing moments from our QB is what our franchise lacked for almost 50 years, but not tonight. Tonight, we had the MVP.

I’ve long said the 4th and 9 bomb to Tyreek against the Ravens was the best play of Mahomes’s career.

That 3rd and 15 has to take it though.

I thought the game was over. It's one thing coming back down double digits in the first half, but scoring 21 points in less than half the fourth quarter?! That's insane. The Chiefs just looked dead after halftime. And then Mahomes just picked up the entire team. Offense, defense, hell, the coaches, too. He lead everybody, and the entire team answered.

I've never seen anything like this before....

And I can't think of another team, KC or otherwise, that could have done that.

I presume that adjustment will never let the number go above 50 percent.

I was sitting on my couch, trying to cope with the fact that the season was over.

And then, the comeback, in the blink of an eye.

I shouldn’t have been surprised, it’s been this team’s M.O. the entire season. The Cardiac Chiefs gave us one last thrill.

Now the challenge for Andy and Veach is figuring out where the roster goes from here. I trust them to get it done and I expect many fortuitous seasons for the Chiefs in the near future.

What a night. Just awesome.

Mahomes magic.

When Mahomes threw that second interception, my nine-year-old started crying quietly and retreated to the upstairs of our house – dejected.
The play you are talking about no doubt was the momentum shifter, and I remember hollering when Kelce caught the touchdown to my son “Hey - I need you to come help me cheer!”. I gave him a high-five, and the rest was history....

Pocket was collapsing on him too. Considering how strong the Niners pass rush was all game, it took some guts from Mahomes to stand in there and launch that thing.

Tyreek did a great job getting open and catching it. Niners did a great job slowing down Tyreek all night, and FINALLY his incredible speed made a huge difference with the game on the line.

When Houston was up 24-0, they had a 98% chance of winning. So that is two just flat out insane comebacks by the Chiefs when they were dead and buried in two playoff games this year. Legendary stuff by this team. They have the heart of champions. You can never count them out.

This team is just something else entirely. Old Chiefs teams would've folded. And we were programmed to think it was over a dozen different times during this game, let alone the previous 2 games. This team just had the right leadership in all the right places to dig deep when the chips were down and take the games away from the opponent. Honey Badger was worth every dollar. Spanuolo was worth every dollar. Frank Clark was worth it.

And then, the comeback, in the blink of an eye.

The game tonight was like watching 2 heavyweight fighters of which one of them just kept winning with the jab all night physically beating us to the punch for 3 and 1/2 quarters and the other fighter finally lands a big left hook that stuns the other fighter for the rest of the game allowing him to flurry on him for the win.

Niners are going to be scratching their heads for the rest of their lives as to "what just happened to us" when they were clearly dominating winning this fight.

I will say this though Shannahan screwed himself in the first half by not using those timeouts to potentially score another TD. He played scared and admitted so and that dearly cost him IMHO. Had he made another TD going into the half he definitely would have had his boot heel on our necks for sure coming out in the second half with possession to score potentially another.

As a 49er fan, there was total anxiety that Mahomes would put KC on his back and pull out a win until that 3rd and 15 play. They show Mahomes launching a moon shot just as he is getting hit, and I immediately think, "This is it...another pick and this game is finally over!" They track the ball in the sky, and then Hill comes into view and..."W T F!" Where's the defense?!!! Holy crap!" Went from total elation to total shock in a matter of seconds. From that point forward, anxiety went to dread. By the time William turned the corner on his TD run, it felt like inevitability. This was KC's year. Sigh.

Yeah, I had a similar but opposite perspective. Mahomes launched it and I watched it go into orbit and then re-enter, and then 20 minutes later, I saw Tyreek there all alone. It seemed like it took another ten minutes for the ball to descend to him while 49ers were approaching. I figured that someone would get there in time to break it up, but it landed safely.

This was the pivotal moment for me.

I went back out onto my porch and listened to Mitch...less anxious for me.

All those times the defense fell short in the past and there I was ..emphatically imploring them to get a stop. Just get a stop. Just one. And they did.

I knew it was over at that moment. Amazing to find out now that Clark called it.
