With the end of the decade, it's time for us to select our all-decade team for the 2010s. Credit to Direckshun for the idea; I'm just implementing it.

Here are the rules:

1. I'll put up lists of position groups one at a time.

2. Each list will contain guys who had at least one notable stat line in their career. I'll generally put them in descending order of some key stat.

3. The stats will contain ONLY their body of work between 2010 and 2019 for the Chiefs. No pre-2010 stats and no stats for other teams.

4. The number of roster spots will be the same as the number of roster spots on the 2019 Super Bowl roster for the Chiefs.

5. You can use whatever criteria you want to select the team. It can be total stats for the decade, it can be dominance in a shorter period, it can be playmakers who didn't screw up badly, whatever. It's your call. Feel free to use any criteria not listed in your decision. For example, if you know that Terrance Copper was an amazing blocker, you can build that into your decision.

6. In a subsequent poll we will determine which players are the starters on the all-decade team. In the first round, you're just going to fill the 53-man roster.

Our next position group is defensive ends. THREE defensive ends will make the all-decade team. So pick THREE defensive ends.

You guys were all lined up in the neutral zone.

This is an interesting one. I wouldn't mind voting for Wallace Gilberry here, but with only three spots I couldn't do it. Kpassagnon is emerging, but not quite at the level to get the vote from me. Okafor and Ogbah are on pace, but again, not enough time in the job.

Bailey was never all-world, but he was solid for us. Jaye Howard was kind of a monster during his two seasons with us, and then apparently got carried off into the night by Bigfoot. He just disappeared. And third? You have to take Frank Clark. He was as productive in one season as all of those Pioli picks were in several.

Man, Glenn Dorsey was sure underwhelming considering the hype he had in college.

You pretty much summed up my thoughts exay. If Okafor or Ogbah had finished the season, I might have considered them. It's a shame that it's taken this long for Kpass to develop. 2 seasons like this one might have put him on the list. But, as it is, I go Clark, Bailey, and Howard.

I get so confused at DE vs DT and OLB vs. EDGE in 3-4 vs. 4-3.

What a terrible position. No one really deserves a vote besides Frank Clark.

Clark, Bailey, Howard

Kpassagnon did have 2 sacks in the AFC Title Game. He was my 4th.

Noone would have voted for Tanoh over Ogbah if Ogbah had played the full season.

I get so confused at DE vs DT and OLB vs. EDGE in 3-4 vs. 4-3.Same. It gets weird between the base alignments.

I was a Gilberry fan.

I was trying to remember him. He’s a guy that sucked total ass under Sauirmin Herman Motherfucking Sack of Cunt Edwards and then went to like the eagles or something and wrecked faces.

Thanks man.

Thanks man.He had flashes a bit here as well, though.

I believe he ended up in Cincy and played pretty well there.

The all-decade defensive ends are Frank "The Clark" Shark, Allen "Hulk" Bailey, and Tanoh "Kpass" Kpassagnon.

Kpass sure had a breakout season.

Where is Neil Smith?

I believe he still lives in the Kansas City area. And I would pay good money to hear him pronounce Tanoh Kpassagnon's name.

(And note the first line of the OP.)

We haven't really talked about it, but on that fourth down where the 49ers' QB shot-putted the ball out as Frank Clark wrapped him up, Suggs made a potential game-saving play if the ball isn't called dead. Ben Niemann got sucked in, and the running back he was covering was wide open. Suggs got over and (along with an o-lineman) knocked the ball down. I don't know if the RB would have gotten to it, but if it was a pass and he had caught it, I bet he would've gained 20+ yards.

It looks like Tyson Jackson outperformed Dorsey. Of course, Tyson was a #3 overall pick whereas Dorsey was a #5 overall pick.

Ouch.

I'm a bit surprised that we got through the voting without a single Mike Catapano comment.
