A rare player for player swap — at the same unit, no less: https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/1235334915924905985?s=21

Chargers get the younger player. Wonder what they’ll do at OT — maybe not drafting a QB after all.

Didn’t Trai Turner suck last year?

Chargers got better with that move.

Couldn’t be worse than Okung, who was out all but 6 games.

I’m thinking Chargers may sign a QB or roll with Taylor, and then draft an OT to solidify at least part of the unit.

Oh I know I just thought I heard Turner was bad last year, but can’t remember.

I thought Okung had a heart issue or something, too. So maybe the trade was just to help the players find better assisted living facilities.

The Chargers have to draft a QB don't they? Or find one, whatever. Point being they don't have a QB1?

5 time pro bowler but I don’t know how he’s going to block Clark the Shark at guard...

Trai Turner is a 26 year old who has been to 5 straight pro bowls. Holy shit what a raping the Chargers just gave to Carolina

I bet they roll with Taylor and draft a kid, Lynn apparently wants a dual threat guy so keeping Tyrod as the bridge makes sense

I wonder if they draft a LT at 6 and then try and trade back into the first round for Love.

And not a fuck was given that day.

We will still rape them.

How long before Turner tears his ACL?

Since he has missed time, 3 games per season, for the last 3 years and the latest with an ankle injury I would say Achilles.

They had a really tough time blocking Clark this year...

5 year younger player, who is significantly more highly rated, coming with a cheaper pricetag and is signed for an additional year.... Carolina eats $8 Mil in dead money to Chargers $2 Mil. Chargers made a GREAT deal. Kudos to them.

I don't understand the Carolina logic but whatever.

One would have thought the Chargers would have needed to throw them a decent draft pick to get this done. I mean shit, come on Veach, we could have thrown them Cam Erving.... LOL

It's a culture trade, Okung is highly respected around the league and they are going into a full rebuilt, that doesn't make it good but that's what it is.

I think Cowherd just nailed it. LA is loading up with a LT now in the 1st, and gonna make a full court press for Brady to try and garner ticket sales/fan interest.

It doesn’t sound like the Chargers have much of a shot.

I don’t get it. If I lived in LA and had no fan loyalty to a team but had thoughts about getting into the Chargers, a QB in his mid 40s isn’t what would put my butt in the seat.

It's a name in a city that cares about names.
