Bill knows they aren't winning shit in 2020. Dalton would just win enough to ruin their draft status.

Pats are probably better off riding w/ Stidham than bringing Dalton on board IMO.

Well, he probably sucks less than Stidham/Hoyer and, sadly, Cam Newton, so if he’s not pricey as a Pats fan I’m fine with it.

Yeah. Dalton might be a tad better at this point, but what good is it to bring in that red haired thing. I guess he's younger than I thought but when you go back and look at it he's never been any good outside of one season.

Pats should go get Cam Newton IMO.

Lazy Cam on Bills team. No chance in hell. Cam is into Cam, not football.

Patriots don't want an upgrade at QB this year. Watch and see. They will fall flat on their face this year as they tank for Trevor. Unfortunately, Belicheat is playing chess and is always 2 moves ahead of the rest of the league.

His coaching has not helped.

I think it is COMPLETELY the opposite. That may be what Kraft wants to do. But you bet your ass Belicheat wants to show the world he can dominate without Tom Brady.

The defense will take a step back a little, but they were quite dominant. Still should be a solid defense with Gilmore and Chung. Kyle Van Noy's loss does hurt, though.

Their offense will likely be better though without Tom Brady if they bring in a QB like Dalton or Cam. N'Keal Harry will develop, and Sonny Michel has to be better than that. Tom Brady not providing any deep threat made it pretty easy to key in on the Patriots run game and middle crossing routes.

Water is wet. No one can say he didn't get a fair chance at competing. They gave him everything and he couldn't get it done.

Eh. The Bengals would fuck up a free lunch, and playing against Baltimore and Pittsburgh all the time is no picnic. His career stats aren’t horrible (mid 80s QBR, decent TD to INT ratio) and he *is* only 32. He’s no Montana but as far as 2nd tier he’s a decent option and, again, Stidham is an unknown and Hoyer is a known 3rd tier.

Another QB who hit his ceiling several years ago and never got better nor did his team.

He should be a first ballot hall of famer, coming out of Cinci with a 53% winning percentage.

“ His 70-61-2 regular-season record as a starter is the top winning percentage (.534) of any Bengals QB with 25 or more starts.”

It's not like they never went to the playoffs. They did.

Isn’t it about time for Denver to sign another vet QB that is going to take them to the SB?

The Bengals are quite possibly the worst franchise from top to bottom in the entire NFL.

I'm sure having AJ Green and Eifert helped. They had Marvin Jones & Sanu for a while. He's had some weapons.

Could see Denver making a run here as a stop gap and some protection because after going all in you probably don't want to go 4-12 cause you get to week 8 and realize Drew Lock is shit.

The Browns do fuck up a lot...but the Haslims aren't the cheapskates that the Bengals owners (ironically named the Browns) are, the Browns (the team) will actually spend money on players and accommodations and have a good practice field with new equipment. The Bengals are a simple factory of sad.

Dalton has been a class act throughout this whole thing. He reminds me of Alex Smith. Assuming he has the right play callers and right tools, he can win you more games than you lose. But he won't get you over the hump.

Considering what Bellicheck did with Cassel, Dalton in New England would be a scary proposition.

Dallas Cowboys should have this guy on the phone ASAP.

Your backup is Cooper freaking Rush. If Dak has to miss a few games you have no chance

Bring Dalton in and they’ve got a ready made QB controversy the first time Minshew struggles

Anyone who has a understanding about how contracts work after a player is cut. Does Andy Dalton's release make what he is owed on the final year of his contract void, or does the team that picks him up have to pay the 17.7 million left owed on the deal?

Asking for a friend :stupid:

*edit* Disregard, answered via Twitter. Thanks anyway brothers!

Haslim is a "medler" though and the Manziel pick proved it. He allowed Dorsey to pick Mayfield which is still a wait and see that I don't see working out. Haslim IMHO is quiet version of Jerry Jones.

Dalton in NE keeps them a borderline contender.
