View Full Version : Chiefs How many current Chiefs will end up in the HOF?

I was thinking about this yesterday when discussing Chris Jones and started to think...damn we have a lot of blue chip players on this team right now. To get into the HOF you need to be a 3-4x all pro and be consistently dominant.

I know I tend to lean to the side of being optimistic and I think we legitimately have 6 future Hall of famers.

Basically a quarter of our starting lineup.

Voted 9 but should be 55, IMO.

And that doesn’t even include people like Veach and Andy.

From the Super Bowl roster:

Pretty damn close to surefire HOFers:
Mahomes
Kelce
Hill
Suggs
Reid

Yes, Tyreek is going into the HOF. Gamechanging speed that has no equal in the game even to this day. Hopefully by then the truth has come out about his past, and even if it doesn't, the NFL put in a goddamn murderer (Ray Lewis) in the HOF.

Distinct possibilities:
Jones
Honey Badger
Schwartz

Coogs

Players.

Mahomes
Kelce
Hill

Coach.

Reid

Mahomes and Kelce. Reid will definitely go in. I suppose Spagnuolo has a shot.

Hill is a HOF talent but I don't think he'll get there, same with Schwartz.

Reid

This right here.

CEH if he's the next Barry Sanders.

What about Colquitt? I know he's not a Chief now but his spirit still resides at Arrowhead.

Depends how long we stay at the top - if this core group ends up winning multiple Super Bowls there could be a shit ton.

But for now, I'll go with seven - Reid, Mahomes, Kelce, Mathieu, Clark and obviously Suggs, who was pretty much a lock before he even got here.

Colquitt? How many punters are in the HOF?

Voted 9 but should be 55, IMO.

Conservative estimate, but accurate

That looks like 6 to me. :)

I voted 5. Did not think of Reid (was thinking players, not coaches) or Suggs. Added Tyreek.

4 is the right answer. Right now.

My 6 are

Mahomes 1x all pro 1x mvp 24 years old
Hill 4x pro bowl 2x all pro 26 years old
Kelce 5x pro bowl 2x all pro 30 years old
Reid arguably the best coach in the nfl.
Landlord 2x all pro age 28
Jones 1x pro bowl 2x all pro elite stat line age 26

I almost put Mitchell Schwartz in there, but for whatever reason he’s never made a pro bowl and was all pro once.

Don't forget about Colquitt!!

BossChief

Colquit was overrated.

Despite huge fields to punt into since drafted and being left footed, I don’t think he ever lead the league in punting average. He was good, but in no way HOF good. Jmo

There is 1 punter in the HoF, Ray Guy, and he wasn't inducted until 2014. No way Colquitt sniffst the HoF.

The Hall of Pretty Good is all politicized and a scam. Not sure how many will make it but rest assured some that deserve it won’t, and some undeserving will as is true of all teams.

Based on my deterministic analysis below, I would guess that we'll have 3.144 players from the Super Bowl roster in the Hall of Fame. After a couple more Super Bowls the numbers will go up, and of course Andy Reid will go in as a non-player.

(Mahomes is less than 100 percent just because there's a non-zero chance that he could decide to move to Nepal and become a monk or something.)

Mahomie, Reid, Kelce, Honey Badger.

CHunt could make it, but isn't there yet.

Depends on how many Super Bowls this group wins. They have to win at least 2, if not 3, before most will be considered for the HoF.

Mahomes can make it into the HoF with the win last year and some crazy stats.

Mahomes, Kelce, and Reid are currently the locks. But after a few Super Bowl runs I wouldn’t be surprised to see more names. I think Hill has the potential, but he’s still got some work to do.

Yes, he signed a one year deal with the Cardinals in 2019 with a $4 million guaranteed signing bonus and $3 million in base salary.

Once the Cards waived him, any team that claimed him owed only $353,000 for the final two weeks of the season.

Thought so, but wasn't sure.

Would love to have him back.

Meh. I remember when the HOF was a huge deal but now it's closer to the shitty ass Pro-Bowl. If I was a player I would still love to be inducted but as a fan I'm closer to who gives a shit. That sucks because it was a huge deal when I was younger but now it's just kind of another NFL event.

They need to get the HOF back to what it is meant to be. I freaking hate it when I hear someone say "He is going to the Hall but not first ballot" What the hell does that mean? Either they belong or not.

Quit putting limitations on voting and how many get in each year and just induct the best of the best. Just my bitch for the day.
