I was inordinately upset over a QB2 no longer being on the team. This is pretty great he's back.

I mean, what are the odds that we lose Mahomes for a game or two due to COVID? I’d think maybe a coin flip or just below? Hard to say.

But this is the guy I’d want to take his place without hesitation.

Did we really need Matt Moore back? Not really, but hey why the hell not right? After what he did last year he deserves a spot on this team if he wants it.

So cool.

Not really, but hey why the hell not right?

This would an absolutely horrific way to run ANY sporting franchise.

Matt Moore brings value to the Chiefs financially, athletically and as a great resource for the QB room.

That's why Matt Moore is signed, not because your ridiculous "reasoning".

I almost started a thread a while back...as to why KC chose Henne over Moore.

He was pretty much everything you would want in a QB2...and an important part of getting to the SB.

He also likes to throw deep...with KC's speed, it was a nice insurance.

Maybe there was a thread about it...and I missed it.

BACK TO BACK SUPER BOWL WINS CONFIRMED

I know some on here are insistent that we go all the way even as the 3 seed, and we definitely could have - but man.

Going...

Titans
@Patriots
@Ravens (likely)

and a SB against the 49ers would have been a significantly tougher road. We could have done it, but there's absolutely a reason that every Super Bowl winner had a 1st round bye since 2012. It's just significantly harder to do.

When you watch all of the mic'd up stuff it's always Matt Moore next to mahomes. So yeah it is kind of weird. Have a feeling Henne under Reid is better than he gets credit for despite being shitty during the preseason. But id hope the backup job is Moores to lose.

Guy is starting to get too old. Good to resign but I think this is about the last season for him for a reliable back up. Next off season we should have SOME focus on finding the 60th best QB in the league for QB2. Perhaps Mitchell Triubisky so he can forever be Pats bitch.

Oh I absolutely agree we don’t win the Super Bowl without him last year. I love the guy, he balled his ass off. I just meant this upcoming year, with Henne coming back, they easily could have just let him walk and not thought twice about it. I think we all assumed he was gone, but that’s just not how they roll these days. They bring back every piece they possibly can.

I just kind of wonder why they resigned Henne to begin with, and why this took so long to get done. I’m guessing he wasn’t sure he wanted to play so Henne was brought back just in case. I’ll tell you one thing, that QB room is freaking stacked.

Moore has interest from the Giants earlier and Terez said something about Moore wanting around 5 mil a year. I’m guessing his price dropped significantly

4 qbs for COVID Insurance?
absolutely

I think the NFL should develop a practice squad for the entire league. Have a full team worth of players practicing all year long so when teams start losing players because of COVIDs the players will be in better shape and ready to go.

The last thing the league wants is for a bunch of scrubs playing like crap in the starting lineup each week. I think the league is underestimating the number of players who are going to catch it.

The clubhouse should be locked down too. No reporters, photogs, etc running around asking questions, etc after each game.

Glad to hear it. He played great for us last year and it was fun watching him in the Super Bowl highlight reels when he is talking to Mahomes on the bench trying to tell him that interception was no big deal and it's on to the next play. Which is great advice and totally cool of him but you can tell Patrick is less nervous than Moore about all of it.

Patrick was a bit amped after that second INT and I think Moore and his other teammates could tell. Patrick even yelled at Moore when Moore told him he was alright. Moore took it in stride and Patrick later apologized. I think Moore taking that like he did speaks a lot about his role in the locker room and with Pat - which I’m all about.

Even if the Chiefs went 0-2 with Moore, they would have finished 11-5, won the AFC West and hosted their first playoff game.

I just kind of wonder why they resigned Henne to begin with, and why this took so long to get done. I’m guessing he wasn’t sure he wanted to play so Henne was brought back just in case.

:facepalm:

Henne was signed to a 2 year contract on March 19, 2020 with a $750k signing bonus and $2,750,000.00 guaranteed, which makes it very clear that Andy Reid and the Chiefs wanted him back in 2020.

I’ll tell you one thing, that QB room is freaking stacked.

LMAO LMAO ROFL

Remove Mahomes and the Chiefs are left with two 36 year old back up QB's. That's the opposite of "stacked".
