View Full Version : Chiefs Should Ten Things Continue?

Wanted to get the temperature of the room. I've been debating whether to spend the time during this upcoming weird season putting out a "Ten Things" list every week in 2020. I put it to you, Greg. Should we have a Toga Party, or go on Double Secret Probation?

Yes.

If this website had a ring of honor, the Ten Things would be up front and center. Would actually not be on this site without them. They got us through the rough times, and I’d love to look forward to them now that we’re on the mountaintop (and they’d be a great way to catalog this weird season, too).

I would miss it if you stopped, but understand if you want to hang it up.

Lots of people including myself enjoy the "10 Things" but really what I would say is for you to continue doing that if you enjoy it. If it starts to feel like a burden then let it slide. Then again you don't have to do it weekly. take time off and do it quarterly maybe. You could give us ten things after each qtr.

Edit: By qtr I mean after 4 games not each qtr of a game.LOL

I, for one, enjoy getting your birds-eye view from the sideline since I will never get to see it from that angle. The one time I made it back to Arrowhead we sat in the end zone and though it was great you couldn't see shit or interact with the players except during warm-ups. And they don't show a lot of the stuff on tv that you have talked about in previous years. I appreciate the time you invest to give us that view.

I do look forward to reading it every week. It’s the window into the soul of a Chiefs fan who knows the struggle and is finally reaping the benefits of the wait for Mahomes and Reid.

It’s your call though, but it’s always a quality read.

TwistedChief
09-06-2020, 12:40 PM
Yes!

I imagine it might be even easier to do so this season as you won't be attending half the games (I think as per your prior posts)? If you're going to stop it, maybe this season should be the swan song.

They're a genuine highlight every gameday for everyone here.

By all means, proceed sir. Having read a fair amount of them over the years, I’ve noticed that a good portion of each 10 things includes the game day experience. Since this year’s environment will be radically different, I look forward to reading your takes, if you attend.

I prefer your Ten Things to any other post-game write-up out there. Your fandom comes through and makes it personal and special.

I lurked for 15 years off and on the Planet before finally signing up.
Every week for God only knows for how long- I went straight to 10 things.
If you are too beat to continue, I am sure most will understand. It has been a really strange year.

Just know it is a real highlight for some of us who live a bit far from the Kingdom.

It’s pretty easy.

Think of the best plate of nachos you’ve ever had. Think of all that’s covering those chips. Now replace those chips with crisp, air fried tater tots.

Amazing.

I enjoy reading the "Ten Things" column every week, but I recognize that having to spend time every week putting that together can be burdensome. I don't think the column needs to have 10 items every week. You can vary the number or explore other formats. You can call it "X Things", playing on the double meaning of X as the Roman numeral symbol for ten and also the canonical algebraic variable.
