Agreed. He can be no more than half-Chubbed at best right now. :hmmm:

Nice deal for Hunt if he doesn't care about his stats or his accolades/escalades/everglades. Gets to split time, take less wear and tear on his body, and still have some pretty good money coming in.

That's the only problem, though. With Nick Chubb in there, he ain't gonna be the NFL rushing champion again any time soon.

I'd think he's happy just being able to make any $$ right now. He needs to reset expectations and save those pennies IMO.

Maybe he felt his market was limited because of the ‘incident’ ?

So he grabbed what Cleveland offered quick?

That seems like a lot of dough to pay for a guy who’s going to split time, and it seems odd that they would extend him at all with a new regime coming in. They obviously saw something they liked.

I actually think Hunt is a better player than Chubb. Maybe the Browns have bigger plans for him.

Might be planning to let Chubb walk in free agency after 2021 season.

Even though we just won the Super Bowl, I still can’t get over thinking just how good this offense would have been if Hunt was still around.

He was so much fun to watch, such a dynamic weapon. Hopefully CEH can be that guy now.

They hired the former Vikings OC, Chubb and Hunt are both going to tote the rock a ton as they take pressure off Mayfield.

It seems like they might be thinking exactly that. RB's don't have long lives in the league, maybe they figure to run Chubb into the ground and then let him go.

Why would Hunt do this?

He could’ve got paid more and been a starting RB elsewhere next year, and he REALLY needs to get away from Cleveland and his hometown buddies who are obviously not a good influence.

I won't be at all surprised if they run it 35 times a game while taking deep shots to Beckham and using Landry and Hooper as stick movers.

I'm not for sure but what he's actually paid about where he should be. We saw him in an Andy Reid offense excel. Are we sure he'll be that anywhere else?

Iirc lots of FA RBs on the market next year.

He probably got his market value and got it locked in before a possible injury...I’m just surprised he didn’t opt to hit FA and go to a good team.

Mixon got a little more than 10 mil per year. I don’t think he’s clearly better, and definitely not THAT much better.

I think he could’ve made more and got a starting job.

Most importantly though, he could’ve gotten away from his hometown which is where all of his issues have occurred.

Considering all the issues he's had, he probably doesn't want to get away from his hometown.

That could certainly be his thought process, but it would be pretty stupid considering they’ve almost all occurred there.

I kinda figure that he stayed in Cleveland because the market is risky for a running back in any circumstances these days, and more so if the running back has been suspended.

I still think he got railroaded. But the Chiefs' learning from that experience ended up saving Tyreek, so it all worked out in the end. Well, except for Kareem.

ChiliConCarnage

It sort of works out. He'll still hit free agency at an age that he can likely get another decent contract. It also gives him some time to prove that he's grown up and not a threat to screw you over if you offer him that contract.

3 incidents while in KC, 2 of which happened in Cleveland. All 3 were fights and 2 definitely had alcohol involved.

2 incidents after signing with Cleveland, both of which happened in Cleveland. The first was in August while he was still serving his suspension - he was stopped and questioned by police about yet another fight. And then he was stopped in January for speeding and pot.

I'm not sure how many people know this but it's just yet more reason why Kareem being in Cleveland might be an issue.

He's been in trouble even before college. His family is literally a laundry list of violent felons - his own father has been arrested 35 times including several domestic charges and violating protective orders. It's a terribly violent environment and if they guy is really wants to get himself in shape, it just doesn't seem he'll be able to do it in Cleveland.

Yeah, and he never wanted to leave here. His heart was and always will be in KC. Watch his arrest video. The man never cared about the money so much. He's a pure soul. Tormented, but pure.

My favorite was a run against Denver where he swept outside and simply would not go down. I'll see if I can find it.

See: 54 second mark. Of course, the whole package is pretty darn good.

Kareem Hunt had multiple games just like this one in 2018. The guy literally gained half of his season yards in 3 or 4 games.

CEH's worst game so far this year is better than both of Kareem's worst games in 2017.

Kareem had FOUR games worst than CEH's worst in 2018.

People remember the dominating performances but don't remember the games where he literally did nothing.

When Kareem Hunt got the number of reps that CEH did today, he performed exactly the same way.

Go back and look at the game logs. You'll see a ton of games with 9 or 10 carries for about 40 yards.

Kareem pounds the D all game and then takes advantage when they're tired and beat up late. CEH cannot do that. CEH needs a good O-line to make holes, which we don't have right now.
