View Full Version : KU Question on KU Football

I've seen two different places saying the KU game starts at 9pm tonight. Is that right? Why would they start so late??

smithandrew051

That is correct.

I think Les Miles has wanted to make the KU football games feel like more of an event than usual.

Yes, KU has a football program. You guys are funny, Hardy har har.

But this is a good question and I have been wondering the same. You could say tv but they are on FS 1 all the time at 11 or early afternoon.

ChiefsCountry

Since the PAC-12 decided not to play football because they are all left politically, FS1 needs time slots to fill. KU gets the 9pm game.

You could make a great point if the part was left out (which I crossed out for you).

Instead, you had to go all DC on this.

Come on, be better.

Do you think it could be because California has had a hard time controlling the virus spread, along with Arizona much of the summer, and since many teams in the conference are from those states they made the decision based on that? I mean certain parts of the country are doing well and some are not.

It’s amazing. You have the best rb in the big 12, a borderline all American who is far and away the best player on your team, and you throw it all over and completely ignore him. People making 7 figures actually think this is a good idea. Can someone hire me for 7 figures? I promise I can’t make worse decisions.

Sadly I'm afraid he is rapidly losing control of his mental faculties. Not in a funny (he's a shitty coach) way, but in a more serious manner.

We are sadly really out-manned right now. On the field, it's not even much of a contest.

But at the end of the day, those of us who have graduated KU or are fans of KU, have witnessed our school accomplish far more than anything that our rivals have even dreamed of achieving. So in the end, I get to watch my team struggle (and they have for a decade plus) but also understand that KU has won far more meaningful collegiate events than anything KSU or MU has ever even come close to.

I don't meant that to be shitty, but at the end of the day, MU and KSU fans are so far more interested in KU wins/losses than even us Alumni are.

Not really. It's true.

MU football has literally never been relevant on the national stage. I guess maybe when that one openly gay dude was about to be drafted way later than he expected people briefly talked about MU. But even then, the focus was on the gay player and not the school.

They have been mediocre and KU has usually been bad. Congrats! Hang a banner. His point is obviously KU has basketball and Mizzou and Kstate have nothing but “Better than KU in football”. A worthless, invisible existence, if you will. It’s sad, but true.

99% of FBS teams have been great compared to KU.

The point is that MU has never been relevant and probably never will be.

At least KU has a prestigious (BCS) bowl win.

I would say that a team which is often in the top 25 over the last few decades and has occasionally played in conference championship games and the like is "relevant". Relevant to the national title discussion, no.
