I agree. The defensive backs will be solid when healthy. Thornhill is still rusty but he’s improving. He bit on a realllly good play fake on that TD.

Sneeds deal looked like a strain more than a break. Wonder if he tweaked his labrum or something.

The combo of Bosa and Ingram causes us more problems than anything else in the NFL.

The 49ers used to have Bosa and Buckner but the lost both. Buckner to trade and Bosa to ACL injury.

Texans used to have Watts and Clowney.

I’m still pretty worried we’ll be giving Sneed 6-8 weeks.

That REALLY looked like a broken collarbone. Man I hope not, Fenton finally looked like the good version of himself from last season.

You get Ward, Breeland, Sneed and Fenton out there and the depth you can roll will keep those guys fresh into the 4th quarter and really provide an advantage.

Reid says “further tests on shoulder”...

Maybe he just misspoke, but that’s much better than saying “collar bone”.

I would think they’d already know if the collarbone was broken.

In real time I thought it was a broken collarbone that got worse when a player (Didn’t notice who) took his arm and tried getting him up with it.

Hopefully it’s something similar to what Tyreek had last year and not as serious as a broken collarbone.

If he doesn't take a step in on the fake to Edwards he's standing up and in position to intercept the pass rather than making a lunging recovery. It was a very good fake in the context of that drive so I can't really blame Thornhill.

Could be an AC sprain on his shoulder like what happened to Drew Lock. That’s about a 2-6 week injury.

One thing about this version of the Chiefs is that they don’t let injuries/suspensions effect them. Over the past couple seasons we’ve lost Hill, Watkins (many times), Clark, Ward, Jones, Breeland, Fischer, Pennel, Thornhill, all the Covid opt out guys and, um, Mahomes and it hasn’t stopped us from being the best team in the NFL.

Losing a rookie corner (whom I love and who has been a gem of a pick so far) will not slow this team down.

I'm guessing he had the same center chest dislocation/sprain thing that Reek had. I saw Sneed holding and grabbing the center of his chest right after the play.

I haven't seen the replay, but at the time I thought he caught the point of the ball in in throat or right below the way he was grabbing that area.

Hope it is something that he can come back from soon. He has been a nice surprise (for a rookie).

Did not look remotely like a broken collar bone. The way he landed and the way he held his shoulder it looked like a sprained AC joint.

It can be a very painful injury but is easily medicated to allow him to keep playing.

That's what I thought too. He was grabbing inside the shoulder pads, towards his neck. Maybe a stinger or something.

He's been better than Sorensen so far this year.

It's somewhat ironic that Dan's the topic of conversation here.

If ANYONE should have taught us the importance of not asking someone to perform beyond their ability, it's Dan Sorensen. For year's he's failed when he's been asked to do too much but has been damn good when put in a limited role.

Tedric Thompson ain't some green rookie and he's not someone who's been stuck in systems that put DBs in positions to fail. The Seahawks have as long a history as any organization in this league of getting the most out of their defensive backs and when they asked Tedric Thompson to assume even a 3rd safety role, he struggled badly.

Thompson has performed admirably in a 4th safety role with extremely limited responsibilities. Just assuming he'll be able to handle a promotion because of a few games in that role, when Sorensen has a couple years of playing the position quite well, is folly.

Dirty Dan makes a handful of plays a year that are really good.

In between, he blows coverages badly, misses tackles, takes bad angles, and generally sucks. He's literally the Niemann of the secondary.

I'd love for someone to finally take those snaps.

Might have swelling in the area they are trying to get a good look at and need a couple days before an effective X-ray/mri can show something definitive.

He reaches right for the shoulder and then the other player grabs the arm that the shoulder was an immediate concern. That could have made the injury worse

That sack strip was incredible. Jackson was winding up to throw then before I knew it, Jones was on top of him. Crashed over him like a wave.I believe Chris Jones had 2 strip sacks yesterday.

One where he hit Lamar in the back while Lamar was in the pocket, knocking the ball out, and Ben Niemann recovered it.

And one where he had a hold of Lamar and knocked the ball out of his hand while shoving him out of bounds well behind the LOS. The ball came loose and hit the field of play a second before Lamar was out of bounds. I think maybe it was Mike Danna who made an attempt to recover the ball, but it trickled out of bounds before he could get to it.
