This probably has a lot to do with playing 3 games in 10 days.

Might have something to do with facing Hoyer instead of Newton, too.

Saw this coming when they announced Cam wasn't going to play. Wonder who they'll insert for him? My gut says KPass, and some Wharton sprinkled in there?

He was questionable with a groin. Anyways with the Pats and their run game better for Pennel to get some more snaps

Guess Andy pretty confident in getting the victory without him this evening.

Getting a little too common lately. Hopefully this is just playing it safe, but hopefully going forward he finds a way to avoid these little nagging injuries.

For missing 5 games in 5 years?

Sammy Watkins would kill for CJ's reliability.

We play 3 games in 10 days. This is obviously playing it safe due to that and Cam being out.

According to CP, anybody who has ever missed a single snap is "made of glass" and should immediately be replaced by a robot who is incapable of being injured in a violent sport that they play for our entertainment.

Rest that groin. I'd probably pull it too, carrying that thing around

According to CP, Jones missing the first playoff game last year was a "business decision" because he only cares about money.

Nagging groin injury + first of three games in a 10 day time frame + Brian Hoyer... smart decision to rest Jones tonight.

I’d rather have a guy that occasionally gets banged up and misses a game or two than a guy that has season ending injuries every couple of years.

CJ is fine.

If Cam was playing, or if Brady was still their QB, CJ would be playing tonight, no question.

But it's Hoyer. Let's be honest, if the Chiefs play to their average and can't beat Hoyer on 3 days notice or whatever without CJ, then the Chiefs aren't really very good anyway.

Jones would have feasted on a QB like Hoyer.

Why Not?

Brilliant move. Andy is coaching this season like the only thing that matters is defending the crown. I love it.

Pats are going to pound the ball like it is the 40's again.

I was hoping they would do this. Sit him out Sunday too. Going to need him vs Bills. History has proven that Groins can linger if not properly rested and healed.

I’m sure spags is planning the Derrick Henry defense. It’s their only hope to win.

Not really. They're going to run the ball and run the ball some more.

Leave him out and get him healthy.

Stop.

Oh come on. That is the mantra around here. People were ready to hang him by his "groin" when he was gonna miss the playoff game.
Maybe I should have said "We don't need him as the Patriots are gonna run the ball and Jones doesn't play the run.".

Sorry, I missed the sarcasm. And yes, it's definitely CP modus operandi.

No, CP uses fresh terminology like "broke dick" because they're clever and verbose.
